The Game has three rules:
1. You are a player of The Game. 2. Thinking about The Game results in loss --- you're not considered to be repeatedly losing if you can't stop thinking about The Game, but the moment you cease thinking about it you are suddenly eligible to lose again. 3. If you lose The Game, you have to announce it to those around you; loudly saying "HAY GUISE TEH GAME" is one hilarious way to do this, though anything that signifies loss works.
By the way, it's unofficial, but it's generally polite to explain the rules to anyone around you who doesn't know them. And by "generally polite" I mean "a sure way to cause eternal torment".
