To the left, my Gryphonnegg as he's been until now (thanks to Neocolours, now that the change has hit the circle pose too). To the right is how he(?) is to look from now on?



Where did that perfect "cloud of smoke" ruff/mane go? And why is my male Eyrie suddenly wearing eye makeup?

Even when happy, he retained the potential to be fierce. But now . . . ugh.

Other than a possible slight improvement in wing placement, the old look is preferable in every way.

I empathize. If they do something like this to baby, you'll be seeing a very similar complaint from me! I got the baby eyrie for one specific reason -- it's cute but looks like a mischievous brat -- and I'm afraid it'll be made simply cute.

I liked the old burnt-looking beak on fire, and the smoky ruff, too.

Why haven't they released faerie yet, also?

You're right, the old version is better. The new version is better drawn in many respects, but not as creative.

And also, what's up with the dulled down colors? The black isn't black enough. This is true of the shadow eyrie as well, it looks a lot greyer than many of the other shadow pets. -_-

On the bright side, if you want to repaint your eyrie, most of the other colors look much cooler now.

You must have a brigher moniter. Honestly, it looks VERY black to me. o.o It's only very slightly greyer, to the point where you can barely make out the lines.

The cloud mane being gone is a disappointment, but really... I love how the new Fire eyrie looks.

As for the 'eye makeup', that is in the first version of the fire eyrie, it just extends more from the eye and doesn't surround it like in the new version.

I really WOULD like to see the cloud mane back though. and maybe the tail tip actually being on fire.. that'd rule.

lol, I have a skunk eyrie (lab ray) and I'm glad they haven't changed the pictures yet. I like most of the new facial expressions better. But why is it always standing on its tail? They're redrawing all the neopets in this kind of style, more cartoonish. :/

I actually like the new drawings better, even the fire eyrie doesn't look too different from the old one to me. It does look like it's standing on it's tail, though.

I like the way they re-drew the picture of the eyrie attacking, though. The old one looks like it's going to cry.

I like it. Especially the wing feather texture. Although the idea for the smoky ruff was a good one, it just didn't quite look right to me. And the new battledome pose is definitely better than the old one.

I liked the old angry pose, where the eyrie's got his mouth open, squawking. They should have made the new one similar -- it has more oomph than him just looking annoyed.

I don't know about you all, but I think I found a good candidate for what to paint my new eyrie. And I say that with all seriousness. For some reason the angry pose is the best one for me despite what some people say. And I can do without the smoky mane. That part had always looked a bit odd to me. I think the fact that the topside part of the wing is now black is also an improvement. It makes it look more...distinguished I suppose. You say it looks less fierce now, but I think it looks perhaps more fierce and dark than it was before. But I guess it's how you look at it. Or maybe I'm just weird.
