Anyone else notice that it takes 5 minutes before the pet that you disown ends up in the pound? I've heard so many stories of people losing their pet today during transfers because they thought that they didnt actually disown it, when instead it disowned 5 min later.

I had this problem yesterday, I was putting a Maraquan pet in the pound and it caused a few seconds delay for the intended owner to start refreshing, because it waited like 5 minutes then abandoned the pet w/ no warning. Amazingly, the person got the pet anyway! While waiting, I noticed the status line was "waiting for petpages.neopets.com..." so its probably something to do with them working on petpages, perhaps filters given the recent problems.

So, I take it she's gone? Who finally got it?

I had that problem too. Luckily I never stopped refreshing the quick adopt link and my orange grundo is safe and sound. :)

Not in the clear on this yet.

I thought things were fixed bacause petpages were loading just fine for me, so I tried to move my faerie poogle. She wasn't appearing to go into the pound, so I stopped refreshing the QA link.

Five minutes later I noticed she was gone.

I refreshed the QA link again and luckily (by some miracle) I got her.

Darn it. I was going to move my lab pet tomorrow, too. I guess I'll have to wait until this gets fixed.
