I just got back from a 5 week trip to south africa, argh I missed PPT and it seems so different now! Hopefully there'll still be one or two familiar names amongst all the cool av+sig sets im seeing all over.

Hope you had fun in South Africa! My friend just got back from building houses for Habitats for Humanity ... and doing missionary stuff there.

I was wondering where you went. Did you have fun in South Africa? What did you do there?

Im from south africa so i went to see where i was born n my old house and stuff, as well as going down south to a place called mossel bay and east to durban. Its winter there now but the temperature was nice. We went to the kruger park as well and stayed in sabi park (which is just a little park next to it with houses in it, and no deadly cats) and saw all sorts of things, including zebras, elephants, rhinos, and i got chased by a giraffe. Saw hippos fighting, lions, all sorts!

Ah, that must've been quite an experience.

Did you meet any old friends?

I did, I left when i was six (over a decade ago!) and i knew this girl called chardonnay so i turned up to her house one day which was something of a shock to her.

I'm aquianted with some folk from south africa and my Aunt has gone there a couple times.

But getting chased by a giraffe, wow...thats quite cool. Did you remember your old home and all though, or just veague memories? Because I saw one of my old houses and I couldn't remember it at all, but I was only about 3 whehn we left so that was no surprise.

Welcome back. I'm sure it was fun. If I was Chardonnay I probably would have fainted.

Wow eerie, just a few minutes ago I found a doll in my closet that my sister got me in South Africa when she went.
I want to go to South Africa and see penguins.

Hehe, I did remember my old house, school etc, which was really nice. It was a fantastic holiday, it was so nice to be back there.

The giraffe was funny, they have a certain way of looking at you,

I've always wanted to go to Africa and do those safaris and watch lions and giraffes and zebras etc. Is South Africa like what you see on TV? The African Savanna?
