The riots in April 2000 had clips and photos of downtown [edited so people can guess] plastered all over the media for a bit. Since then, we've had some trouble with racial profiling claims...

We're known for our football team, the Bengals, possibly the worst team in the NFL for years. They're getting a tad bit better, at least. -_-

Also, the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center (or something along the lines of that, I can't remember the exact name) just opened this past week. I haven't been there, but it looks really nice.

Set by robot. Van Den Hoogenband is the best name, ever.

Anyways...

It's the capital of Massachusetts
The Boston Massacre
Boston Tea Party
Freedom Trail
John Hancock, John Adams, Samuel Adams, etc.
Red Sox (and the curse ;_; )
Colleges (that would kinda be statewide...)
John F. Kennedy
Recent shootings

And some more stuff...that I find boring and tourists find interesting. A lot of the historical events have to do with the American Revolution.

On Wisconsin, baby.

We hosted the outdoor games last year. (Hahahahaha.)

This isn't what we are famous for (but should be). Madison's downtown is sanwiched between two beautiful lakes, and the skyscape from the lake is breathtaking.

It is so much fun to hang out at the Memorial Union Terrace and look out at the boats.

We have the largest state capital.

Oh! University of Wisconsin - Madison, of course.

(I looove my city...can you tell?)

You mean there are maps with my town on them? :o

The only stuff noteable about my town:

1. Had the first concrete street in the US.

2. Has the shortest street in the US.

3. Highest point in the state of Ohio.

That's all I can think of. Nothing cool.

Everyone knows my town as the place to stop for fast food and gas cuz we're right off the highway and we have a ton of fast food and gas places for a town with less than 4500 people.

I love soccer guys.
