The game was supposed to be released in early June, wasn't it? They pushed back the date about a thousand times and finally decided to just leave it up in the air.

The official release date is 17th September this year (it's actually coming out this time, I can't wait!)

They only changed the date one time and then left it in the air for awhile and then set it and now its coming out.

whats the difference between the dvd and CD versions? (other than the price)

i can't wait for it to come out. We have all the other ones (except i can't play on it at the moment because someone *looks pointedly at zorg* lost the actual sims CD so i can't reinstall them all since i got XP. We have all the add-ons up to unleashed. we got superstar, but it didnt work with ME so had to return it.

i soo can't wait, for the sims 2 to come out tho, dont knwo what i'm going to do about buying it tho, if i'll get it straight away or whatever.... hmmmm

I can't wait! I've had it pre-ordered since April. The screenshots looks wonderful. I'm worried that when it comes out it will be full of bugs and glitches. I hope it won't. I also hope that since I have it preordered online it gets delivered a week later. I'm very impatient.

The screenshots look so cool though! I'm looking foward to three story houses.

The DVD version is on one cd instead of 4 and has extra features on it like little movies etc. Some people will say it will work better with the DVD edition (althoguh the CD one will work fine) but I'm not sure if this is true. I only bought it because it would be easier to install with one disc instead of four. I think in the US the dvd and cd versions are both the same price.

Wait... The Sims 2 is coming out Sept. 17th? I thought they said Sept. 14th... Dang, oh well. One day after my birthday and one day before my party. I'll probably uninstall The Sims 1 on this comp (with all expansion packs)
