Er, this year I've been getting sick way too many times. This is probably because of the lack of chewable pills. You see, I hate taking those pills that you have to swallow or else it tastes horrible. I have no idea how to swallow them. Sometimes it happens by accident, but often I end up either throwing the pill away or chewing it. >_<

Basically, I just want to know how you swallow these nasty pills, without trying over and over.

I find that placing the pill further back in my mouth; add a bit of water (without allowing the pill to come forward) and then swallowing is best.
I can't stand the taste either; nor can I stand swallowing horse pills, but i've had to get used to it over the years.

Just don't touch it to the tip of your tongue; thats where most of your taste buds are, and if you touch it there, it really does taste yucky!

just put in in your mouth and take big gulps of water then you shouldn't notice swallowing it.

I try putting them in the back of my tongue, and when I swallow, it gets pressed between my tongue and the roof of my mouth and won't go down. =/

Do you drink with water?

Horse pills is just my terminology for really big pills. You often see them as the big multivitamins... they're huge.

I never try to swallow pills without water. It makes me feel sick.

By horse pills, she just means really really big pills.

Okay, I had that problem too. And I learned how to swallow pills in the strangest way...I can swallow small pieces of pancake without chewing them. So I shoved the pill inside the piece of pancake and then swallowed the pancake for practice/to take the pill. And eventually I figured out how to take a pill by itself. ^.^;; It's definitely an odd way to learn though.

Use marshmallows to use them to swallow! xD...

Try swallowing the pills with soda, to me, the carbonation seems to keep the pill from sticking to the back of my mouth/throat. Keep trying, also try tipping your head back. Try moving your tongue as you swallow, to try to push the pill back (hard to explain).
Don't think about it so much. If you worry about it really hard, you'll never be able to do it. Practice with M&M's, that's what I did. The fact that they're sweet and harmless makes them easier to practice with, because you can do it as many times as you want. Once you can easily swallow an M&M, try it with your pills.

Pills + any liquid shouldn't be too difficult to swallow?

I don't use any water, or anything. I enjoy swallowing pills without liquid:P

I've heard of them, but haven't acually taken one. They don't sound good. I've swallowed a few Strepsils (disolving throat cleared) though, unwillingly :|

What I do is put the pill under my toungue, hold my toungue up and drink water and swallow it. It usually works pretty good.

If you need to chew the pills and they taste really horrible, what I used to do was chew the pill and then have some soda crackers afterwards.

Awww,I know just how you feel! A couple months back,I had to take my thyroid and depression medicine in pudding..first I started with the small pill and a few days later I could swallow them all. Its all a matter of trying and trying...

Ay, I can't swallow pills either. I've been lucky so far, and never really had to, but one day I will learn.

I rock my head backward and forward about 2 times to get the pill settled at the back of my throat just right. Swallowing pills does take time getting used to. But eventually you do it naturally. I've swallowed an ice cube whole before, so swallowing pills that are big isn't so bad xDD
