I'm in the middle. I collect whole series of anime and manga (even downloading occasionally), but I don't go to the extent of cosplaying.

I'd be too nervous to cosplay myself, although, watching cosplay competitions is fun.

I never understood parents not allowing their children to go to conventions. There were a lot of young children with their parents at the convention I went to. However, I was there with my dad, so I suppose that's another reason why I don't understand it. ;P

Is probably a case of either corrupting the childrens minds, or the fact there are alot of weirdo people at conventions.

I guess I'm in the middle- kind of obsessive when it comes to certain anime/manga, but I don't go to conventions cosplay. I would go to conventions if my parents would let me, though. :D

i'm just an animation fan in general. i don't particularly seek out anime; it just happens to be some of the best animation out there, with some of the best stories.

i'd love to go to a convention, not because i'm that big of a fan myself, but because i dearly love people who are fanatical enough to get dressed up and go. what fascinating people!

i guess i'd say i'm moderate. i love anime and watch all kinds, but there are a lot of staples that i haven't seen (like .hack and FLCL and eva, to name a few) but i've seen way more anime than most people i know. and i know a lot of anime fans.

manga i hardly read at all, except for two titles. anime is much more entertaining. i do enjoy a good graphic novel every once in a while, but i prefer regular novels.

I think I'm somewhere in the middle. I collect manga...and I'd probably have a lot more DVDs if it weren't for the prices. I went to my first convention back in June (Otakon) and I cosplayed as Kyo (Fruits Basket) there. I do plan on going again in 2005 as Sailor Saturn. ^-^

Much thanks to Scholastic for the set! And Pimboli for the button! ^-^

I'm a casual fan, I read manga when I can get my hands on it but hardly ever watch anime (Actually, I don't really watch any TV at all aside from American Idol and Red Sox games!) I love to draw anime/manga style though, which adds points to the otaku side. I'm serious about the drawing, although I'm not very good.

And I've decided that if I ever get a tattoo, I want the Japanese letters for otaku on my ankle.

Meh...i'm a "in the middle of normal to love" type...i want to collect manga but it's impossible because i live in Canada and it's extremely hard to find anime stores. I also have a few sets of gashpons and other models.

As for the anime itself i download it and i have a full list of when episodes come out so i can get episodes as soon as it comes out :D

Lucky Japanese people can get their hands on any anime related items first :(

Middle. I have a few things, rent DVDs, have quite a lot of manga, and a few DVDs. I want to cosplay, but there aren't many charaters around the age of 12. I might cosplay ad Sakura(Cardcaptor Sakura) or that pink haired girl from a game my brother has, but at 12, I can't really do much.

Casual. I wish I could cosplay. That would be SO cool.

Very Casual. I don't have the money to pump out on buying anime and I can't downlaod any of them. Every once in a while I'll borrow a manga off of a friend or download some manga, but that's about the extent of it.

I'm Casual. You see, my friend is my manga resource, so I'll read it now and then at her house. Anime is cool too, but I don't watch it very often. I enjoy both now and then, but it's not a big part of my life.

Casual, I rarely watch/read new series.

I'd probably be an "otaku", though, if I could afford it. :P

Well, here's my anime/manga collection:

http://www.geocities.com/jasujo/AnimeManga.html

You decide. ;) lol

I try to read manga and watch anime whenever I get the chance. It helps that Tim and the girls love it as well. :) We have books, dvds, vcds, downloads, t-shirts, plushies, keychains, soundtracks, etc. We are also big on Japanese snacks. We make a couple *huge* snack purchases throughout the year and nibble on them little by little. :)

I think one of the coolest merchandise I have are two candy bento boxes. They look just like real ones, but all the food in them are candy replicas of the real thing. The site I got them from isn't selling the candy bentos anymore or I would give a link. They are just *too* cool. :)

Oh! We also have Sailor Moon wall scrolls up all over the house and Morgan dressed up as Sailor Moon one Halloween. :)

My pride and joy is my Hello Kitty plushie collection. I have over sixty. ^.^ Besides HK, I think my favorite plushie is my Vash from Trigun. I lurve him muchly. *cuddles chibi Vash* <3

Wow.

You need to meet my mother. My mom likes anime, but thinks my obbsesive collecting is not very healthy.

Your a nice, heathly adult. Tell my mom its fine.

Also, nice DVD collection. I, unfortinitly have quite a few illegal box sets as well.
