The blending looks like it was carelessly done, and I can't read any of the text at all. I also hate the huge and distracting black border around the wallpaper. Not your best work at all.

Several months ago, bluehawaii19 asked for ratings on the original montage she used as a source for this wall.Flame wrote:Hold it.
You rated this wallpaper somewhere other than this contest?

bluehawaii19 - It's pretty. But seeing as it's a wallpaper, where would you put desktop items? Okay. You've done a nice job making everything blend, except where the bottom of Sam's image and the top of Pippin's meet. The text that says their names is a little too hard to read. Maybe make it stand out a little more. There's also text running through the middle of the wallapaper I think, but I can't tell what it is...

Doesn't a floppy hold 1.38 MB or something like that?DM was on fire! wrote:Plus it was hard getting it under 100k so it'd fit on my floppy.

I know many people who make really stunning walls with cut-off/incomplete pictures. They reconstruct the missing parts. The tip of a cape is two fairly straight lines, not hard to do. I'll also note that the right side of the picture is complete, you could have flipped it vertically if completing that small bit was too hard for you. And of course, the final option is to find another picture that has no cut off parts.DM was on fire! wrote:The reason that her cape is cut off is the way the image is. As for the greyscale thing, I thought it looks better. Plus it was hard getting it under 100k so it'd fit on my floppy.

Also, is it very hard to get a new floppy disk?

I only have one other good one and it was packed w/ journal...icons. OH CRUD! That didn't remind me of something. I just realized that I didn't post all my journal icons.
