Some of us, I'm sure, absolutely loathe reality shows and some of you may only like or bother to watch a select few. But one thing is for sure, there are some rubbish reality shows out there in TV land.

What are some that you would like nothing more but to plunge into obscurity? For me, it's those Joe Millionaire, Average Joe, Outback Jack etc shows. I mean, c'mon, enough already!

Also, if you had the opportunity to produce your very own reality tv show, what would it be? Innovative or just down right rediculous. Would love to hear them.

(Not sure if this is alright here or would be better suited for the 'Entertainment Polls'. Either way, [mods] feel free to move. :))

Dog Eat Dog, Fear Factor and Survivor. Blah, I'd refuse to eat a rat or dive in a box of scorpions.

Even though I LOVE reality TV shows, there are definitely a few I could do without.

Bachelor, Bachelorette, Who Wants to Marry My Dad/Brother/Sister/Uncle/Dog shows.. Most of those types of shows. Except I do like Joe Millionaire. :D

I love reality shows as well but I hate the dating ones. Such as 'Cupid', 'Joe Millionaire', 'Outback Jack'. I like the shows with some action (Not the type of 'action' shown in the above shows) such as 'Big Brother (American Version)', 'Survivor', 'Fear Factor' etc...

I remember a women (she is/was famous, can't remember her name) who wanted to make a reality show featuring married couples. And the prize would be...a baby. Imagine asking your parents where you came from and they replied by saying, "We won you. In a game show,". Honestly, what goes through people's minds to think of something like that?

my idea for a reality TV show would be a giant checkered board over a large volcano. It has 30 people, who can randomly move across the board, but if they move incorrectly and fall into the Volcano.

Once a week, the Nation votes on who they would like to be able to move from their square the most(costing .05/call). Once they've done that, before the show, they can phone in and decide on which of the nine squares around the person they want to "activate" meaning that those squares will cause mini side games to occur, if you win it, you can move without falling into the Volcano, if you don't the risk exists.

once the contestants hit a certain point(or win a contest). They have the choice of voting out one of the two people who the country(for .05/vote(call)) who have the most moves(This will be every other week). if they are 1 of the 1st or 2nd place people, they choose between 1 and 3 or 2 and 3.

those people will eb automaitcally dropped into the volcano. Once the final player reaches the end of the game, they need to choose between a million dollars, their true love, OR saving the people who are stuck in the Volcano.

So, Coming this fall..will you is if the...Risk Exists?

---

I hope that gave out my opinion on Reality TV shows well. :)(I dislike them)

I'm also a reality tv show junky... but I'm getting pretty sick of all of those "Bachelor" types.
This boxing one that is coming on pretty soon on FOX.... could care less about.
Uhm.... yep... I'm sure there are some other really stupid ones out there.. but since I don't have cable I don't know anything about them...

My idea for a reality tv show.

"What would you do for a Klondike bar"...... :P just kidding just kidding...

I think there are already some out there like this? Or there used to be? (never saw any of them)

But have a reality show where people visit haunted places. Or go investigate alien/bigfoot/whatever weird thing sitings and such.. heh.. I think that would be awesome to watch.
I think MTV had a show called Fear where they made ppl spend the night in a haunted place? And they'd like make 1 person go out and do something alone?
Don't have anything stupid (like a fear factor gross thing).. but maybe spending hours in a room all by yourself would be so fun to watch heh.
I mean come on.. I'm sure there are plenty of weird things in this world to at least last one season :P lol

I don't watch much reality tv, it seems like that's all the new type of shows that are playing now. I did enjoy some in the past but I no longer watch most of them. I think the first one I was into was survivor, I haven't seen that in a long time though. I think I watched one or two seasons all the way through. I liked humm I think it was the first bachelor then I quit watching that. I do enjoy fear factor :), revived my terrible fear of drowing. I'm fine now though :P. I can't stand a lot of these dating shows now, and those..."who wants to marry my dad" bleh. I hear amish in the city is good, I saw one episode and liked it but never continued watching it.

Back myabe 5 years ago in the past reality shows were cool to watch as they were new and interesting, however as the phrase goes 'Its just putting makeup on the corpse'. Reality shows have no edge anymore and have gotten stupid.

I got this idea for a reality TV show from a book. 13 contestants on the verge of death (mainly from sickness, etc) gather together to see who will outlive the rest. Basically there will be lots of conflict as everyone tries to make the others die first by making them angry, tempting them with fatty food, arranging "accidents", etc, etc. The winner will get 1 million dollars, which will go to his/her family when he/she dies.

Ok, that was just meant as a joke, but basically it goes to show how ridiculous reality TV can get.

I <3 Reality T.V, but the ones I hate are bachlor(ette)/Outback Joe/Simple Life(is that reality?)/And I don't like big brother, but it isn't a bad show.

My reality show....hmmm....

Stick 12(ish) people inside an empty house for a about 40 days. The house ic completely empty. The have a bathroom that works but no products. Everyday they do a task/game/challenge to win money to buy furniture, food, or hygene products for the house. Every three days they vote off one person and the last person left gets to keep the house and everything in it. :)

That sounds like a Big Brother/Survivor mix.

I don't like to admit it, but most of what I watch is reality T.V.

- Road Rules
- Real World
- Real World/Road Rules Challenge
- Newlyweds
- Till Death Do Us Part
- The Osbournes
- The Assistant
- Anything on MTV, really
- Fear Factor
- American Idol

The only RTV I don't watch, however, are the dating ones: Who Wants To Marry_____, For Love or Money, Joe Millionaire, The Bachelor(ette), and everything else. XD

Oh God, I hate that show. It's the dirty/perverted side of Newlyweds.
