I'm sorry, I didn't understand the first post. :(

Why don't you have a talk with him (if he's up to it)? It might sound strange, but perhaps if you talked to him, you might feel better about his possibly having to move on. It seems a lot of people regret not telling their loved ones how much they cared about them and saying a proper goodbye before they passed on. You might not need to say goodbye to him yet, but letting him know how much you love him may help both of you feel a little better.

Spend as much time with him as you can, and try to be cheerful in front of him.

*hug*

Both of you will be in my prayers.

::hugs Kyra:: My grandmother died of a heart attack at 53, when I was 7. She was a nurse, and she'd had all the warning signs...

This sounds really cold and heartless, but do be thankful for the time you've had with him. You'll both be in my prayers...those for a good ending for both of you, whichever way it turns. ::hugs again::

My Grandad has long drawn out cancer before he died, I suppose we could make our peace with the fact it was going to happen, but still... I didn't see him often at all, he lived in Hungary.

Like Cassi said, be glad of the time you spent with him.

I can't visit him. He lives in Maine and I'm in Virginia... And schools been catching up to me so I don't think I could drive all that way. He was haveing knee surgrey because it was to painful for him to walk. They replace both of his knees and they put him in intensive care and on very strong drugs. After a few days of being on the medication he got really sick. My grandmother (Grammie) took him to the emergency room to find out hat was wrong with him. The found his kidneys were failing and he has masive stones in his gulbladder. They put die in his to see how bad the blockadge was.... the die didn't even get though. He now has Hemophelia... And he hasn't been eating anything for the past week. I'm just so worried about him. :(

Thanks you guys. Just... the past visit I had with him..... wasn't te most... friendliest I guess you would say. You are right though. If he does... move on... he won't be in any pain.

Oh man, I'm really sorry for you. One thing you can do that might make you feel better is to talk to people who have had the same experience as you. It should help you feel less alone.

My grandfather has had 2 strokes in the past couple years, and I was insane the first time...

I loved my grandfather, but I realised through this how much I need to appriciate him.

But anyways, good luck with this and I hope he will be okay. I will pray for you.

Ohhh *huggledywuddgldy*

One of my grandfathers died when my dad was 21, before I was even born. And one of my grandmothers died two years ago, in a coma, just a few days before her birthday. Then my other grandfather was in a car accident, where if the airbag had actually worked, he would be dead now, and my other grandmother had an operatiowas kept last year, and she was kept in hospital with people who weren't all there, and nearly went like that herself. :(

I really hope he gets better. You have my AIM if you want to talk to me. *which is, incidently, not working atm, because of computer troubles and stuff...maybe not a good idea. PM me instead if you want ^^*

*Hugs* Sorry to hear this. I'll pray for him. I know the feeling. I've had a grandfather in the hospital before...it does suck. Best wishes. Just, hang out with friends/family and talk. It helps.

First off, I'm really sorry to hear about your Grandfather. Losing my grandfathers was really tough (1st was while i was in 11th grade and it screwed me up pretty bad then - he had been my favorite too). Tell you what, though, the lost art of writing a letter (esp snailmailing one) can be a good thing for both of you, especially if your last in-person was rough. Think of things you want to say to him, and things you just need to get out... writing a letter can be a very theraputic thing for you as well as letting him know you care. Either way, i wish you and your grandfather the best!
