Talk Like a Pirate Day

Of all the silly unofficial holidays, this has got to be my favorite one.

Who has heard of this "holiday" and who plans on celebrating it this year?
Unfortunately, it falls on a Sunday, so I don't get to see everyone and show off my pirate lingo. I'm expecting to use it all day though, so don't be surprised if you hear an "Aye, mateys!" slip out this Sunday!

This is too cool. Unfortunately, the only pirate words/phrases I know are, "Shiver me timbers!" and "Arr, matey!" You'll have to teach me some more.

Hey, maybe that explains that music video with Johnny Depp popping out of the convertable waving. Not likely though.

Well there is this country music video with Johnny Depp in his Captin Jack Sparrow uniform, I absolutely love that video and the song that goes with it, it's called "Girls Lie Too" by Terri Clark

Ohh! Glad to know you'll be joining us, Christopher.
I'm just really disappointed that it's on a Sunday, because the only people I see then are my family and my church... and I doubt either of them would appreciate my "yarr"s much.
