Last night I was filling out forms for colleges so they could mail me some information on their programs. Well today my phone rang and woke me up. Without looking at the caller ID I just picked up the phone. It was one of the colleges. The man on the other end asked me a few questions and such and after a few minutes of talking he concluded that their program wouldn't be right for me.

I guess you could say I'm a tiny bit disappointed. But not that much. Probably because I was caught completely off guard. I was just expecting the colleges to mail me information. Not call me up in the early hours. Besides, the college that called is located in my state, and I'm planning on leaving the state anyway.

But that's my story of the first college to ever shoot me down. It's an interesting experience. I'm sure I'll go few at least a couple more. But at least now I kinda know what to expect. I just hope not all my college interviews aren't over the phone and only last a few minutes...o.O.

That is really weird. I have never heard of that happening. Ever. And I'm a junior in college now. I know the military will call you (especially the guys). But that is a different conversation (at least for me who has no interest in the military).

I'm finally back for the summer, although hopefully I'll spend a little more time away from this screen.

Huh, intresting...well you dont think your friends were playing a joke on you? Well, maybe not...but dont worry I'm sure you'll find a college that will accept you. And will call you at regular times.

That's quite strange. How early in the morning was it? Did they ask you relevant or random questions? Even then, it's only one college and I'm sure there are plenty more that would accept you.

Strange, are you sure it was the college who called, becuase I had something strange happen to me also.
My mom got this call from the school that my grades were dropping in a couple of subjects. I got home from school and I got my preaching from my mom, but she didn't know who called. I asked tons of teachers, but none of them called, and it's a mystery until today...
So be sure that it was infact the college that called, and if it was, than there are much more colleges to go to. :)

The man called me up around 7. He asked me why I wanted information, what classes I was interested in, and when I graduated high school. So I told him I was just requesting some information on their programs, finacial aid, campus life...all that spiel. I told him the classes I was interested in and that I am in my senior year of high school. How he desided their school wasn't right for me from that is a mystery. I must have said something wrong.

I'm positive it was a college too. He told me who he was and the college's name. And it couldn't have been someone playing a prank...I only filled out the online forms last night, and the only person I told was my friend Ryan. And he would never do something like that.

*Shrug* Oh well. It was odd. That's why I posted it here, to see what people here would think because it didn't seem right to me. So thanks for the replies. ^-^ Lol, I'll just leave it as one of those experiences I can share with friends and ponder over.

Wow, that's extremely weird. Being from Australia, I'm not entirely sure how the application process goes, but it doesn't sound to be normal.

At least it wasn't a college you were dead set on going to ^_^

Many years ago I got a strange call. A woman rang me up asking me which where I stayed, which school I went to, how many siblings I have, etc. She said she was conducting a survey. I was quite young and naive at that time so I answered most of her questions. Then I started getting suspiscious and told her that I would let her speak to my mother, but when I passed the phone to my mum, the woman had hung up. Creepy.
