"Fart" is not a "vulgar" word or a swear word. The gallery's tasteless, yeah (I think all the dung stuff is, in general)... but not breaking any rules.
I think the point they're trying to make here is, no, fart's not a bad word, but neither is "hot", or "bikini", but you'll get frozen for saying that. I don't think anyone here is genuinely offended by "fart", they're offended that TNT will praise someone for using the word, and freeze someone for saying "butt", y'know?

I think, that if he invested money in the gallery, and TNT liked it and he won than good for him. Fart isn't a bad word, I don't know why it is even, it's something we all do, face it.
I think the idea of the gallery is stupid, and other people think it's funny, than let them think what they want. So what if they censor, damn and crap, and you can get frozen for it, don't use these words on Neopets. You can say crap with your friends, or on PPT, but respect the rules of Neopets. If you don't like the rules, than don't play. :?

Imagine if a young child stumbled upon it and started randomly saying fart...not good.
and imagine if a 15 year old saw the word 'bikini' on the neoboards...plain ridculous.

Most small children already do randomly say 'fart' all the time. And I don't think too-small of children play Neopets anyway. Most kids can't even use a keyboard until they're at least five.

Hey, i'm homeschooled and i learned to say fart WAY before I was nine. And i was also able to use the computer when i was three.

We all s*** (that toilot based activity) so whats wrong with saying s***? What's wrong with it is that it's considered rude to some people and innapropriot to some people. Same with fart, Some people think it's slightly innapropriot. My mom when I was 5 for example. She thought it was really rude to say fart, and I'd say families like that still exist. I also agree with the selective censoring people, I feel the same way about words they allow and don't allow.

I must admit theat when I went and had a look at the 'Fart Gallery' I did blink rapidly a few times. It didn't seem to be the 'normal' neo kind of choice. But then I thought about it. Really there's nothing actually wrong with the idea. It's not exposing things to kids that they would have no concept of otherwise - I mean, farting is an everyday part of life. I guess that's why neo don't have a problem with it.
But after saying all that, I still don't think I would have picked it for the spotlight - but then, I guess that's why they're TNT and I'm not!!
And as for the use of 'damn' - I use that in the neo boards all the time and have never once been warned for it. In England (where Adam and Donna hail from) 'damn' is an acceptable word, used by almost everyone, and not really seen as a cuss word... maybe that's why it's allowed into neo?
