I like the new aisha better. The old one is just sorta bland. It's one uninteresting color, and looks like its been mixed with some sort of centipede or something.

I can see why they changed the chia. The old one just looked like a bunch of dung with some hair and red eyes. I'm not a big fan of the new one, either. Doesn't seem mutant-like enough. Looks like it could pass for some kind of fruit or vegetable.

I agree about the pets not being mutant enough. Most of them could pass for darigan or tyrannian. Of course, it'd have to be really awsome looking and deformed for me to be really pleased with it. I doubtneopets would really get freaky and nasty with their pets since there are a lot of kids on the site.

Naw, it's way more than a red-eyed blob. It's a pile of molten flesh with protruding, googly eyeballs, an insect mouth, talons and zombie hair! Also had one of the best beaten poses ever.

Anyone else remember when transmogrification potions sold for under 1,000? You could get a mutant kacheek for 800 neopoints...

Yeah, but you wouldn't know it is a chia unless you had prior knowledge. One thing I feel about all pet colours - they must resemble the original pet.

That I agree, it looks more like a kind of fruit, like Labanieboo mentioned.

You wusses! :P It's adorable!

Someone off the staff confirmed once that the darigan poogle was only a joke and would never be released, but of course, that made lots of people WANT it. I wouldn't (but then I'm not too into darigan) but the unibrow is hilarious, esspecially how it disappears in some poses. There really ought to be a brush dedicated to being stupid and poorly drawn. Maybe scribbly and stuff.

One thing I feel about all pet colours - they must resemble the original pet.

Still, it could've just been given a more chia-like shape and it'd be fine. However, I think re-draw colors are a lot better when they really, really deviate from the regular pet. Rare ones, esspecially, shouldn't stick to the basic design...the darigan techo and robot kyrii are awesome examples. Darigan shoyru and robot draik? No...quite boring...could've been so much more.

....I wish I had saved more than ONE pic of the old mutant usul...it was so nicely drawn, and noone anywhere has images other than the angry pose.

The mutant kougra is a good example of a different design that looks really good. (IMO anyway)

Because it tenses up.

While the transition was rather faithful, the mutant kougra just doesn't look quite right in the new style. The old one looked almost like a big bulldog, now it's more sleek and impish.

Well, it's sort of hard to describe, but it basically looks like a tan blob with spikes poking from it. I think there's an old caption contest with it featured, but I'll have to search through the archives to find it...
