I was wondering because alot of my posts have been dropping down the list (my advertisment and ask for help on the game board to be exact)

I think the only place we're allowed to bump is on the No Nutritional Value board.

It's generally frowned upon, if we do find posts like that are gfor the sole purpose of bumping a thread, we do remove them. If they're past a certain page on the board in question, you're welcome to repost them again.

I (and I assume many others) log-in and look at the "View posts since last visit" section of the Forums, doing it this way means I end up looking through the recent posts (usually only about 3-4 pages worth) and it means that even though a Board may have dropped slightly down in the section its in I don't miss it entirely. As a result, its not always necessary to bump a Board, most of the Boards end up being read and/or replied to at some point. At the very least I personally would leave it a couple of days before even considering bumping unless its extremely important. Just my 2 cents, I'm sure some others might not agree with me.

Here's another point: If the thread has fallen down the list because people haven't posted to it recently, who knows if you've gotten all the posts you are going to get and no one new is going to post anyway?

If you mean "bumping" as multiple posts at the end of the thread because no one else has responded since your last post, then no, it's not allowed.

If you mean posting again at the end of your thread thanking the people who have posted and asking if anyone else has any other advice or whatnot, I believe that is okay.

That is what I like about this forum. There really is no need to bump messages.

Your post will get help if someone can give it to you. It may take a while though because of time differences, but it won't get pruned and people do look for new posts. It's well nigh impossible for no one to notice an individual post, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.
