could someone tell me how to set the correct time on PPT? I had it right on the old forums but forgot what I did. When someone posts about the tourmy, I can never figure out what time it was actually posted. I live in the EST. Thanks for the help.

I'm on the East Coast and have the time set GMT -4 hours

Oh, after I posted ... You have to go to Profile, then scroll down to the Time setting

You need to set the Timezone to the one you're currently in on your Profile page: http://www.pinkpt.com/forum/profile.php ... ditprofile
Unfortunately I don't really know much about all the timezones GMT, EST whatever so I can't really help you there. I usually just experiment until I get the right time but I'm sure you should be able to find someone who can tell you which option to set it on for your specific location.

thank you very much. I had no clue what to set it to, so I had left it at GMT. Now I can read posts and not have to guess when they were posted.

Thanks, I had mine set -6, and I am CDT right now. So, I changed it to -5 and now the times are correct for me too.

Amazing what one can come up with when one is given a cardboard box and a roll of duct-tape!

You'll be amazed by the results of a Google search.

This question doesn't really have anything to do with Neopets and is more of a general PPT question, so I'm moving it to the PPT Discussion & Questions board. :)

The east coast (EST) is normally -5, and CDT (me!) is normally -6, but because PhpBB doesn't support daylight savings time, you have to 'change your timezone' so to speak during the summer.
Lol, I set mine to -6, and never bothered to change it, so mine's always been an hour off. But come Halloween, it'll be correct, and I won't even have to change it like everyone else.
