Or, if you are using IE, you might try deleting all offline content too, not just the cookies. Down side, you'll be reloading pages from scratch, but it might be worth a shot.

The pound will? How?
As soon as a pet goes into the pound, their lookup is cleared and their pet page reverts to default. Neopets started doing that some time ago.

I think it was to keep people from saying, "Hey, that's my pet, and I was trying to transfer him to my other account!" Not to mention that it kept some people's hard work from being claimed by the new owners.

And before anyone declares that identifying a pet by content is a good idea, remember, TNT does not want pets being transfered/traded etc.

I had a friend who this happened to. This was about 4 months ago, and he's still waiting for TNT to do something about it. It's not a PC glitch, or a cookie issue. It's neo related.
It's a shame you have a good pet, because it really would just be easier to start again with a different pet, or change the species like was suggested. I wish neo would get their stuff sorted! I remember the days when there were very few glitches, and TNT could actually reply to e-mails!
