I've got good eyes. I can look up in the sky and see planes which are very tiny to see.

My vision is really pretty awful. I've had glasses since I was in first grade, but I didn't have to wear them all the time until third grade. Now, I think my vision is about 20/200 (what most people can see from 200 feet away, I have to be 20 feet away to see). I can walk without bumping into things without my glasses, but I can't read signs, and I could never recognize people unless they had a distinct way of walking or something. I got contacts about a year and a half ago, which I wear off and on. I like how contacts have given me my periferal vision back, but they can be uncomfortable sometimes.

I'm closesighted, I don't wear glasses though.

Im slightly short sighted, I only need to wear glasses or contact lenses if Im driving (but who needs to drive when everyone else does!!) But my eyes can see things extremely close to them, when i had my eyes tested I had to read a book while the optician brought it closer to my face and i could still read it when it was touching my nose!

Show-offs. :P

I'm nearsighted enough that I need glasses and contacts (not at the same time), but my vision is good enough that at least I have the option of going with rimless glasses. I've kind of always wanted those Drew Carey/Buddy Holly-style glasses with the thick black rims, but they never look right on me.

I have this weird inability to generate much in the way of tears, but I wear contacts because they make me look a little older. So I have to have a ready supply of eyedrops handy; of course, I miss my eye more than I hit it with the drops, so it looks like I've had myself a good sob (again, no tears, so that's impossible).

So, yeah. Slightly-better-than-lousy vision, no tears, eyedrops, contacts.

I'm nearsighted, but its not so terrible that I need to wear my glasses whereever I go. I actually don't like the glasses I have now, they're incredibly crappy and silver, so they're really bright when outside.

I wear them way more than I should, but thats only cause it bugs em when I can't tell the difference between similar looking brothers(You always want to know whos throwing the rocks at you, and who you're about to beat to a pulp ;) ).

So THAT'S what it means. Wow, that makes my vision seem worse...

Used to have a huge squint, don't anymore due to operations. I'm short sighted in one eye and long sighted in the other. I don't have binocular vision which means my judgement of distances isn't that good. That caused me to fall out of a tree a while ago but I wasn't particularly high up so it was ok.

I've also got an astigmatism in my left eye but that doesn't bother me, mainly because at the moment I've forgotten what that actually is. My eyes are kind of mucked up but at least I can see so I'll stop moaning.

I used to have really good vision. Most of my life I had 20/15 in one eye and 20/20 in the other, but then, during my senior year of high school the universe just decided that I had good vision long enough and now I'm near-sighted. It wasn't that bad a first and it's not horribly bad now (I know some people with crazy thick glasses), but if I sit on my computer chair where I'm like a couple of feet away from the screen and I take off my glasses than I can't read this text. Well, if i squint and focus really really hard, I can make out what it says, but it's still really blurry.

I feel so bad. My mom had to get glasses back in June, my dad's had glasses since he was a little kid, and I don't have them. I guess I see good, but I think I've been straining my eyes because I was trying to focus on my computer and Fillmore!.

Ooo snap! I only just got glasses a couple of days ago. Luckily, I don't have to wear them all the time, just for seeing the board at school. Still feels odd though.

I suppose I don't NEED to wear them all the time because I can manage fine without them, but I love them. I like everything having clear edges.

Be careful you don't get reliant on them though. I'd hate to have eyes which couldn't see so well... I'd walk into things... not that I don't already. I'll shut up now.

Yup. Short-sighted, and have been for the past 5 or 6 years.

I have good eyesight. :)

My eyes are real bad. My left eye is way worse than my right eye. I can't see my screen at all with my left but i can see it fine with my right. It's a bit sad. My glasses are mostly broken in some way so i don't always wear them. I'm getting new ones soon and i want to get contacts
