There's a pluthora of ways to say Xil

I personally say Exile but a lot of people say Zil..

Seems like the consensus falls onto Zil though.

XD Oh man Cae. Your name gives me trouble. Even when we met, I (and only once) accidently called you "Kai" (rhymes with 'eye') and then I felt really stupid. I knew I was pronouncing it wrong, but I couldn't stop myself. I still read it as "Kai" even though I knew better. At least I can call you by your first name ;P much easier.

Tymaporer: I can't stop myself, It's always been "Teema pourer".

Rune: "Rune eh val keer ee"

Shapu: "Shape oo"

Soujio: "Soo jir oh"

Vkceankraz: Dude.. I had no idea your name was supposed to mean something.

Xerai: "Zair eye"

Xil: "Zil" Though I know the whole "Exile" thing, I choose to ignore it ;P

**giggles madly**

My name should be easy: "Saff eye ur Fair ee" Just like the gemstone and the mythical creature.

why hasn't anyone asked the vital question: why do we need to pronounce people's usernames? this is the internet! we just have to spell them right!

Because it's just... a nice thing to do? I personally get uncomfortable when I don't know how to pronounce a name. So I make it up in my head the way I think it should sound.
When I find out the proper way to say it, I feel quite a bit better.

Not to mention that I believe it makes us feel a bit more human... I mean you don't walk around IRL calling someone whose name is Chris, Chet do you? *shrugs*

Ok. get ready for this.

pol = Paul's On Line

Lots of people just call me pol but it'd be better to call me Paul(not my real name but I like the sound of it :P )

I'm surprised by the number of people who give my username a long A sound. I don't really know what to make of that.

"Sha-pooh" is a good way of spelling it, though. Maybe I'll change my name for one day or something. Anyone know when National Simplicity Day is?

EDIT: Nevermind. It's July 11th. So there we go.

Yours was actually one of the ones I was thinking of! Others are Qanda, and o_0.

Erm, mine is pronounced can-da. You'd be surprised how times people have mistaken it for quanda (definitely more than 20), even though I would've thought it's spelling was rather obvious, especially with the capital Q. :P

I always pronounced o_0's name as oh-oh in my head. ;)

Yay! I got one right. I always read "Qanda" as "Can da" Like "Canada" But with a missing syllable.

o_0 is one of those unpronounceable names... like when Prince changed his name to a symbol, and everyone had to call him "The artist formerly known as Prince".

Mine's easy.

If you can't pronounce Alex, I'd be worried.

Glass Miracle should be easy enough. If you want to know how to pronounce it, then I'd be worried. =P

What about the other Alex? (...Alex) Do we call her "dot dot dot Alex"?

For some strange reason, I call her mmmmm..... Alex.

Why are there two Alex's in the first place? And both females too? ;)
