I forgot about the Theme Parks! Those were interesting, to say the least.

Well, I was around when the Eyrie was the, *sniff*, the Tatsu. I also remember when the Acara looked like a Goomba quadroped. Yeah, I'm still whining about the Tatsu but I remember other times when you could pick up a Cybunny Transmog. for 15k. Best of times.

Why don't they just suck up their pride and take Neopets down for a well-deserved time of maintenance? Not only that, but they need to focus more on the site than the merchandise. Yes, time and time and time again I am reminded the fact that it's all a game that is for free, but please do take some time off some of the items and finish what you've started.

I've been on Neopets since about Year 2/3 on and off. I remember when Treasure Hunt was good, Bruces were different and there weren't loads of stupid sponsor games. Faerie Caves existed, Poogle Solitaire was a sure-fire way to get magical plushies and the only other location was the Mystery Island. Video rental was open and Battledome was beta. Kiko was unlimited, and no massive glitches

Theme Parks...*sigh*

I've been on Neopets for about 2 years, and.. Heck, the only way I found out about the site was because someone posted a link to it on the Sims bulletine board! I signed up because it seemed fun and their boards didn't seem as full of begging, whining New Member with no brains and less manners!

Now, Neopets is no longer the first thing I do when I get online.. it's around the 4th, and I avoid the boards like the plague was set loose there, because it was.

Meridell wasn't even a place and only a hint of a war at the time. I played Poogle Solitaire as part of my online ritual and I got my Nonichan's Cybunny morphing potion for only 30k. Paintbrushes were cheaper, although just as rare. I could earn NP without having to hit a sponsor thing and the adds in the sidebar were for games on Neopets, not sponsors!

43 months. That is a looong time. I don't even remember much, but I do remember the opening of the Battledome, being able to actually buy a faerie pb for 99,999 in the shops, when the Neopian Times still had a guild spotlight (that's how I found my first guild), and Bruce being a person, not a penguin. I know that for the first few months my playing was sporadic, and then, once I joined a guild and started meeting people, I got really into it.

Now I'm all nostalgic. I do miss having fairly frequent random events. They don't seem to happen nearly as often anymore, which is a shame. And I miss actually being within reach of completing a gallery. I've given up on both of mine now, as well as on my attempts to collect avatars. Too many rare items, too much inflation. I'm not even sure why I log on at all anymore.

I miss the old angelpuss look too. So vacant and vapid it was! Just a head with wings and paws.

i had been playing neopets for 38 mths. my first acct was frozen after eight mths. i left neopets for six mths and continued on another acct.

things used to be much cheaper then and restocks much easier. v_team was formed a few mths after i joined neopets and hynfaerie was the first super pet i heard of. my very first game i played was ice-cream factory and scorchy slots. i made my first 100k from playing these games and restocking improved lightning beams and anubis on a 56k modem then.

yeah doing treasure hunt to get a free space map piece used to be one of the daily activity till the game was removed. you can buy shares w/o risk of losing capital.

it was nearly glitch-free then though it was around that time when accounts started to get innocently frozen.

Innocently frozen... for some reason that reminds me of the words, "Friendly fire isn't." Yeah, the wrongful freezings didn't start until about a year ago, at least without about half getting their accounts back. Now.. hah, you'll be lucky if you get even an automated response on the autofreeze form!!!!

I've been playing for 38 months. I miss old Neopets, where you got to play a game as many times as you wanted and stuff, and if you had 1k everyone would go OMMMGMGGMGMGGMSGGGMSDF;LKSDFKurrichdude.
And you could go on the chatboards and you could roleplay and chat to no end and if you accidently said something bad no one would report you o:

Ah, yeah, I remember Hynfaerie, that pet was awesome. He was like, the strongest pet at the time. I also remember Purple Paint Brushes and White Paint Brushes selling for 4k. Of course I was a stupid 10 year old so I didn't realize how EASY it is to make 4k... ^_^;;

I do remember the cheap books. I wish I had bought a ton. I had almost every single book that was out on my first account before it was frozen for something stupid. Those would bring in millions now.

I remember the video tapes. They removed them because it didn't fit Neopias technology, even though they have space weapons now. -.- The theme parks were cool. I remember setting mine up and deciding which rides I wanted and such. Treasure Hunt was something I played as much as I could. I believe my husband still has some of the old totems on his account.

I also remember after the battledome came out, you could get special abilities from sponsors and special opponents, like Dexter and the Powerpuff Girls. Btw, does anyone know what happened to those special battle abilities? Were they just removed or do the people who were around then still have them?

This isn't as old, but I remember the Fountain Faerie. You'd get tickets from sponsors to use at the fountain and you could paint your pet. I wish I had done it then, it would have saved me the np I used on paint brishes.

I also remember Maraqua. I would go there to rs food and do the kitchen quests. It was raided by those weird pirates and destroyed.

Ah, the good old days. Sometimes I wish newer members could have just seen it then. It really was a lot of fun. *sigh*

I was around before the island and baby paintbrush. 27 months. I feel so ancient. Infact, in 2 days, I'll probably feel ancient on PPT! The 18th's my year anniversary on PPT!
