It's so pretty... my mom sprung for it because our laptop is so full of viruses, and it has very little space, and our tower computer is in worse condition and won't get internet no matter what we do. Plus she needs a good computer for work. It's got a very rough-looking tower- you can see every switch and plug. It's not made to look pretty, it's made to be good. It has a little blue light on the on switch, and a media compartment thing (computer made for media stuff- can store 140 hours of movies, and it has places to plug in VCRs and TVs, and it has DVD read/write!)

It's got 200 gb! Holy carpman! Lessee... oh, it's a Hewlett Packard Media Center XP.

We have a black flatscreen monitor now (always wanted one of those), it's not very big but sooo bright!

The keyboard is also black, with blue lights on the top highlighting options no one will ever use.

And the mouse is black with silver key things, a roller, and it's a lazer mouse! Yay!


My mom JUST got the internet to work on this thing, we had a hardware problem. Microsoft Office is *wierd*, man... I've fiddled with the display panel so it looks like a normal Microsoft computer instead of some wierd RealPlayer-esque format.

AHHHH! *snatches* Me want! My computer's specs are not good enough for me to play any game with 3D graphics, and that sort of includes most of the latest and most popular games.

Anyway, congrats on getting a new computer! Hope you get full use out of it.

congrats on the new puter, and you sound like you are having lots of fun with it, you should have LOTS of fun playing games, the specs are excellent for that kind of stuff

as for blowing up computers, i blew up the tv last week only now we have no tv..

That reminds me, I need to start checking CostCo for those computers for $500 that are awesome (HP ones that have flat-screens).

Anyways, nice specs, except for the 512 MB of RAM. I would need more than that for me.
