Yay! Just finished NQ2 on Evil, I got the Scuzzys Comb. In my trades now.
So, should I proceed to insane? From what I've heard, it is terribly difficult, and I fainted very often in normal and evil, so I'm not sure if I should try it or not. Is it really that difficult?

As I've said before, I don't think Insane is difficult so much as tedious. Everything takes a lot longer because of the monsters having more HP and the need to be more cautious about everything. You have to be more careful with your skills distribution, with making sure you won't run out of healing potions before your next chance to restock, and with maintaing a reserve of damage, haste and slow potions starting in Chapter 4 for when you meet Terask II. And, of course, you'll be at a higher level for everything than you were on Evil. I ran out of money a lot more often, too --- everything is even more expensive on Insane.
Dunno. I didn't find Insane to be much different than Evil except, as I said, I was more careful about everything, I was more nervous before Zombom, the Faeries, Nox, and the Terasks, and I spent a LOT more time tediously leveling-up.
Then again, I didn't die at all in my first Evil game, so I think I just naturally have a more conservative playing style. Maybe people who tend to be more risk-seeking find it harder to make the transition from Evil to Insane.

I must say, the biggest risk on InSaNe is letting your attention slip.
It's so boring at times. It took me a full day playing (about 5 hours) to get to level 7. All this time youre 'grounded'.
You cant get much further cuz the monsters are too strong and mommy (restingspot) is too far away in case of emergancy.
My biggest problem was getting tired of it. Clicking the 'Next turn/Attack' button just to get the fight over with. But as you can guess, 'just clicking' is never a good thing for your health

Any tips as to where I should fight to get to level 6 (the recommended level to fight the Foreman on Evil)?
Outside then cave until you think you can handle the monsters inside, and then train inside the cave. I had no problem inside the cave when I was at level 5, so maybe you just have to keep a closer eye on your health next time.

Yes, I'm still alive...still alive...
