So me and my friend were playing this stupid game which you should NEVER play where you punch eachother untill one person chickens out, and I was going, and I hade to punch my friend...and he ducked...and my fist hit his forehead.

Now my pinky (from the joint closest to the nail, to the nail) KILLS.

Any suggestions?

Ice or a cold wet compress should work.

Most people here have problems that I've had before.
Well actually my friend was the one with the pinky hurting.
We were having a major fight there. (Me, John, Dane, and the twins)
And someone hit him with a pillow and his pinky bent back.
They rushed and got him ice and it felt better.

I wouldn't put it to use if it hurts. So, stop typing with it. It could make its condition worse.

take ibprophin or any ibprophin type of pain killer if you can, it's also an anti-inflamitory and reduces some of the joint swelling.

No, it hurts, but not because i'm typing with it. The finger splint keeps it from bending (googe image search "finger splint" if you don't know what i'm talking about), so therefore, typing doesn't hurt it anymore.

I messed up my pinky by punching someone once. I used to take Tae Kwon Do, and I was in a sparring match with some other person. I was wearing hand pads, but I punched at his chest and my pinky started hurting. I didn't tell anyone until after the match was over, though. :D

I got a splint and a bruise the size of a grape, but it stopped hurting after a while. Regular ice and sparse use helped. And maybe instead of improving your tactics for "next time" just don't have a next time. Play chess.
