Sometimes when I read something so many times and suddently say it out loud, I say it differently. Like CSS, I didn't notice out loud so I said it like 'kay es es' and when I noticed, suddently saying 'cee es es' sounded really weird. It happened to me with other words, but I forgot which

I just say them all like they sound. PPT - Pee Pee Tee (OK, that's kinda disturbing sounding.) And CSS as Cee Sss Sss.

The way I was brought up to say them is

Capital-C-s-s

I just say the letters. Either that, or what they stand for. So "HTML" would either be H-T-M-L or Hyper text markup language.

As the letters are supposed to prounounced, I suppose.

If the initials can be pronounced as a word, like "lol", I will pronounce them. Or else, I'll just say out the letters.

Hmm.. here's a weird one, you know that one weapon on Neopets... it used to be called a Hypno Helmet, but they changed the name to H4000 Helmet. Well, whenever I see the "H4000" or "H4k" as some people call it... I still read it as "Hypno" in my head XD

They did WHAT?! ...I wish I never did stop playing.


Usually, I just read the letters, such as 'HTML,' H-T-M-L, but in other cases such as 'NASA' I say the word, or atleast, how I think it should be pronounced: Nassah.

yeah, I do the same. if the letters can be said as I word, I tend to say them as a word.

I dunno... sometimes I say it right, sometimes I don't. A ton of times I've been reading aloud and I'll say something like "low o tee arr" for "LOTR" (Not like we've had LOTR in any assigned reading... but you get the drift.)
I just kinda pronounce the first syllable of the word the letter stands for if I know it... hehehe.

Oy... LotR. I catch myself reading it as "Lotter" in my head, and I often have to stop myself from saying that out loud and looking foolish.

LotR- I saw Lotter in my head too.

lol- Lowl I say
lmao- Llama.

Yeah, I do the same thing. Or else I just listen to what everyone else is saying and base what I say off of that.

Either as the sound of the letter (like when I am reciting the alphabet), or as a word, like NASA (thanks for the great example, Paul!). If the initials have a lowercase letter somewhere, e.g. RftR, I'll indicate the capitals. Otherwise, they're usually all caps and I'll rattle them off.
