I love FireFox--I can't survive without it. I want a FireFox shirt as a joke, though.

I'm not very familiar with Linux.. but it is listed on here: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/all.html

Anyways.. I have been using the Preview Release version for some time.. and I absolutely love love love this browser.

Get Tabbrowser (it's an extension) if you like tabbed browsing!

It's probably not going to work with my version of Linux, though. I'll keep that link in mind...*adds to favourites*

I got Firefox before....it was good. Now, I don't have it. IE's good enough. Tabbed browsing is goood.....but I use MyIE2 now so there's still tabbed browsing.

Firefox is wonderful :) Sure, IE is clean and quick, but once you start using tabs, you never go back!

The extensions and themes are wonderful, too. They make firefox very customisable. I use the Noia 2 theme, which is great.

These extensions are worth trying:
- Gmail - A google mail checker that sits at the bottom of the screen, and tells you when a gmail has arrived. Saves a lot of time!
- Tabbrowser extensions - Adds a lot more functionality to your tabs (rearrange them, undo close tab, etc. Though, a lot of these features have been added to the latest version of firefox)
- Adblock - But of course :)
- Weatherfox - Display the current temperature and latest forecasts in the corner of your screen! Pretty as well as useful
- Foxytunes - Control winamp, windows media player, and many other music apps from your browser... great for lazy people like me who don't want to switch between applications

When we first got cable internet, we used Netscape 7.1 (it has tabbed browsing like Firefox, but it didn't have a lot of features). But when our compter had to be rebuilt, my brother installed Firefox, and I like it! I use Adblock all the time (I've blocked all Google ads heh), and the themes are real nice. :battar: I use Lila (it's almost normal, except there are purple tints).

One of the best things though is the booksmarks toolbar. It saves a lot of time!

IE's always worked fine for me, but since Maz here mentioned a "Gmail checker", I'm interested. Is it a slow-ish application that steals up RAM, or is it just as fast (or faster) than IE?

[edit] Argh-typo. >_>

Well, pages load faster in Firefox than IE, but extensions can slow stuff down, I think. And tabbed browsing - e.g. 5 tabs in 1 window - takes up less memory than 5 separate windows.

Ditto on that...I find no need to download FireFox or any other program...

Netscape and Firefox are the same thing, the only difference is that they look different they pretty much the same program, I like Firefox more because it isn't incorporated with all that AOL junk that comes with it. But welcome to the Mozilla community, happiest place on Earth.

I have IE, and it works for me. Besides, Stu'd kill me if I downloaded anything else unless it was his idea. =)

Same. I can't use Firefox to restock at ALL. It makes my computer slower, and it doesn't have the "Snap To" feature, which automatically takes the mouse to the OK button. I also don't like the tabbed browsing.
