I just heard that my grandparents got in a car accident... My grandmother died. Grandad is still alive, but not doing well.
I feel weird... I want to cry but I can't.

I know the feeling, and I don't think words can say how sorry I am for you. ::hugs::

My grandad is awake now. I don't really feel like getting a dictionary and look up what exactly is wrong with him, but my aunt says he will get better. I know I shouldn't say this, but I think it would have been better if they died together... They have been together every day for over 50 years. I don't think grandad will ever be the same again without grandmom...

I don't think he will either...but your whole family will have one another to lean on, which I certainly hope counts for something.

The weird thing is that I start crying as soon as people hug me...

I think it's just the human contact that sometimes makes you realise everything.

I know what you mean about almost wishing they'd died together...my grandfather's gone downhill since my grandma died seven years ago. =/

I know how you feel. We are pretty sure our bunnies were brothers. When one died, all the more I love George, I wished they could be together.. but I wanted them together here.

I'm so sorry sweetie. Car accidents are awful awful things... I was just in one and luckily I'm only confined to crutches for 6 weeks. If you ever need someone to talk to, drop me a PM or AIM me.

I don't feel shocked at all... I'm quite calm, actually.... Bet it's a shock.

Edit: it has been on the news... Car accident with truck in the south of the Netherlands.
Grandad is ok, my dad just talked with him. He doesn't know about grandma yet.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I hate trucks. Stopped driving completely after one close call. Walking is less life-risking, thank you.
