I hope this doesn't turn out to be like what happened last winter. Neopets was down for like 3 or 4 days. Does anyone else remember that?

Yeah I do... that's the first time I came here (yeah I can't remember my old nick and pw so I made a new one just today because Neo is down... lol)

Anyways it was really horrible last year!!! I didn't know what to do with all my free-time. :(

EDIT: UGH-OHH!!! Is it just me or has even the red Pterie flown into oblivion??? :o That's not good. :(

  • read a book
  • bake something
  • start a hobby

Well once I'm home I have loads to do, but I'm at work..... I'm so bored. Everybody left already and it's only 3 p.m here... I don't feel like doing anything... :P

EDIT:Oh, how come http://www.neopets.com/explore.phtml works but the rest doesn't. Does that mean it's on a different server which is not affected then?

Ok I have a question, Im half way through a game that I started before it went down, if I wait til it comes back up before I send the score, will it go through alright?

I think that depends what servers or systems are down. Last friday I played dubloon disaster all day during which Neo was down 3x in a row but I could still send score in the end and got the avatar. Just make sure to open a different flash game first and send score to see if the score database is back up. :)

Ill try that then! Its taken me ages to get a decent score so I dont really want to lose it!

If I try to pull up a second game it uses the same window as the original. I suspect that you'd lose the game you are trying to send the score of. I'm curious about whether you'll get your points after this long delay.

Oh yeah sorry, it does that in IE, I forgot. You can always get a 2nd browser and open another flash game there and send score. It's a bit of a hassle and also as someone said here before rightfully, Neo keeps close track of how long it takes between opening a game and sending scores etc so they might accuse you of cheating... you never know what their bots do... so be careful.

I gave up on the idea of sending my score, it just doesnt seem worth the risk! Ill wait til its up and then play the game again.......assuming that it does come back up!lol

About the explore map, you can also click on most of the worlds and their maps seem to work too, so maybe there isnt a major problem with the site, but its still very early their time, so I imagine it will be another couple of hours at least til it gets fixed.

Oh my gosh, I just got a RE on the tyrannia map and the bug brothers stole 40np!

Oh the irony. I'd just popped onto Neopets, and managed a total of three page navigations, and BOOM it goes down. **waits** It's 6:30 AM in California, 8:30 here. Nothing else to do... **twitches** Maybe I'll watch a movie.

*ponders playing Halo2 and then decides that RL is going to be more important* Down, down, down.. Neopets is down. Hey, it's been a while this time, between the long downtimes.
