In relation to a topic at the end of the locked thread, that stuff on the neocam looks more like a leftover hor' duerve (sp) than actual cake. It could be decorative green icing, though. Maybe for Meridell.

Its definately cake, you can see the 2 layers of sponge and the jam in the middle, the green looks gross though!:P Have you noticed that no one has actually eaten any of that particular slice......hmmmm!! :P

I want to see what that little blue dot in Faerieland does! Oh well, I'll just have to wait. Still, it's weird that they've been down for around 11 hours...

for those playing over 4 years they must remember that things like this happened almost everyweek, and there was never an announce ment or anything... I also feel that the support staff might be doing their job correctly a Friend of mine send them multiple emails about a database problem and they still have not solved it since JULY!!!!!! 4 months of database errors and no one can take 5 minutes to fix them? I think as they grow more, they will have many bigger issues to deal with. I just hope they are serious about dealing with them.

1) Please don't double post. If you have something to add, use that "Edit" button on the top right corner of your post.
2) This thread is about the DOWNTIME of neopets. What you are talking about is off topic.

That's probably why. It makes sence that when a website recieves a huge update it'll be down for awhile.

The hole in Meridell just seems to be another daily thing, but it hasn't made it onto the map yet (or has it?).

Their lines are probably flooded from the people that do know, plus the less time they spend on the phone means the more time they're putting into making the site run again. :) Besides, TNT members have been known to come here, perhaps one of them will post something explaining the problem.

I highly doubt this has anything to do with the plot, or even people refreshing all over the place yesterday in hopes of RE's. I was surprised to come home, log in and find that the site's still down with no word.

Sounds to me like a server disk array was corrupted, crashed ... whatever. I think we need to be patient (I know it's hard, I'm missing the site SO much!), but if something big did happen, which it looks like given the amount of downtime, we just have to wait and keep our fingers and toes crossed that they have a really great redundancy set up so nothing disappears.

I only know that little from being a mod on a help forum for another site - they had a disk crash in one of their servers and it did take about 2 days to get things back, up and running - and everyone's stuff back.
