I had a quest, and the wiz let me use it. I wasn't cheating though, I was looking for a neopox pizza for my wocky. This happening for anybody else? I transported all my NP to my spare account incase I get frozen for taking advantage of a glitch.

this happened to me once a long time ago...i don't even know how they would track it and punish you. IMO, you shouldn't worry as long as you've only done it the one time

I wouldn't do it anyway, even if it lets you. It's little things like that that seem harmless, but can get you in trouble. It's easy enough to fulfill quests without the shop wiz. I wouldn't chance it.

It doesn't matter if you were using it *for* your quest. You were stilling using it *while* you had a quest. That can be enough to do it.

Goodness. I hope I don't get frozen. I just used it for the quest....

I leave the Shop Wiz up all the time incase I get a quest, which bypasses the block on searches as long as you already had the window open (or you can at least press "back" to get to it). I never thought you could get in trouble for it, but I guess I'd better not do that anymore

. . . i hate that we have to be so scared. i do that too, and i don't feel like there *should* be anything wrong. i also don't know if there really would be a real way to track it. . . it all just can get so exhausting sometimes.

Honestly, how many of you simply log into a different account when you get a quest? I know I do, unless it's a quest I don't feel like completing.

I think the shop wiz rule regarding faerie quests is silly. TNT should change them so they're like Kitchen/Taelia/Esophagor/Edna quests. Then people like br00ster wouldn't have to worry so much about accidentally breaking the rules over something so trivial.

It's perfectly possible to be able to use the wiz during a faerie quest. If you go to the wiz page and your computer loads the page from its memory without consulting the Neopets servers, then the normal wiz page will load.

People use this by having the wiz on their favourites list, and when they get a faerie quest, press "work offline" on IE and go to the link in their favourites. As long as they've been to the wiz once that day, it'll work.

I seriously doubt that Neopets would freeze for this, especially as Donna did state in the editorial that having someone else look it up for you (essentially using the wiz yourself) is fine.

Yes this happened to me...i did a search for a red short hair brush..when i realized that i could do it I stopped cuz I got scared it was some kind of glich and of course..abusing gliches can get you in big trouble..glad to hear it happened to others, makes me feel better, but sorry it happened..

To be honest. I think by abusing glitches they mean really abusing them. Like when people were creating krawks or using the 1 a day things way more than once...

I mean. If you accidentally went twice and it didn't tell you that you'd allready played. How would you know? I've got a bad memory so I would forget.

But there are people who might go back and do it over and over to get lots of np from it... Thats abusing really. I doubt a mistake would be classed as that. Since you have to know about the glitch to abuse it. And I guess you never realised when you got the shop wiz up. Half the time I don't even know I've been given a quest...

Virtual, well I get quests very very rarely, but the few times I have, many times I don't know I've gotten one either unless I go to the wiz looking for something. Then I'll get the message, something like You're on a quest, no cheating.

I know people who use one of their other accounts to search the wiz for quests. I don't know if that's really "legal"? I usually go search my sdb, if I don't have the item there, I'll go to the boards (usually Help - quest board has never helped me) and ask for someone to do a search for me.

I agree this is something that we should just be able to do ourselves, without having to worry -- Am I breaking a rule? Is it a glitch? Could I get frozen? There's alot of that "looking over our shoulders" feeling already on what we can and can't do.

Other glitches, like the daililes one? If I hear that there's that kind of glitch I jut won't even bother going once. I leave it be. That's my way re: any glitches - just don't do whatever's glitching.
