My french teacher assigned me homework... In french.

Can someone translate for what it says for me to do? Thanks.

1.Ecrives une lettre a moi. Dites-moi a ton rie.

2. Etudes les # 1-20 et les heures.

(Then I think this is in english, but what does it mean?)
3.Conjugate Present Tense: Etre, Avoir

I need it soon, I gotta do my homework. :P

Thanks!

Try that. You have to look around a bit, though.

Both my french and english aren't that great, but I'll try :P

1. Write a letter to your teacher, I don't know what the second bit means.
2. Count from 1 to 20 in French, and learn the hours in French (?)

3. Write down the present tense for Etre and Avoir :P

Present Simple
Je suis
Tu es
il/elle/on est
nous sommes
vous etes
ils/elles sont

j'ai
tu as
il/elle/on a
nous avons
vous aves
ils/elles ont

:P

Well when I read it this is what I got from it:

1. Write a letter to me. Tell me your laughs. (the second part is literally translated, maybe your teacher wants you to write about something that amused you?)

2. Study the numbers 1-20 and the hours.

3.Conjugate the present tense for Etre and Avoir. (which Stijn already explained)

:) I hope that helped. :P

I thought it sounds like your teacher wants you to tell her/him a joke..?

Just a thought...could your teacher have meant "vie" instead of "rie?" In that case, it would mean "Tell me about your life" and would make a whole lot more sense. The noun "laugh" is rire, not rie, and the verb "to laugh" is also rire, and could be conjugated to be "elle rie," but using a verb at that part of the sentence just doesn't make sense.

Besides that, I agree with what everyone else has said. Your teacher wants you to count from 1-20 and write certain times in French, and she wants all of the present tense forms of etre (to be) and avoir (to have).

I'm a French minor in college, but I haven't taken a class in about a year, so my French is a bit rusty. I did study it for seven years though, so if you have more questions, I can probably help you out.

Eekers. I wish I could help but, sadly, I don't speak French. I take Spanish at my school! Woo hoo! Fiesta!

*looks around* So I guess I'll just agree with what everyone has said. :D

1. Write a letter to me.

I believe the second part must've been 'vie' instead of 'rie'. It doesn't make sense with 'rie'. Or at least not to me it doesn't.

2. Study numbers 1-20 and the time (Hours).

3. xerai did this one.
