Ah, so they've finally got that release date down...now people can stop selling their invites for insane prices. :P

I've got two accounts, one invite left on one account. I think I might get a few invites on the other, but I really don't care now. :)

My brother had a few invites, but I'm not worth an invite. I won't appreciate it as much as other techie dorks (and I don't mean that at all in a demeaning way!). I might sign up for an account once it's officially released.

From your friends. pretty much you get an invite, sign up and then you get invites to give away. Im not exactly sure how it works but that seems to be its basis.

Gmail sounds awesome. All that free space(not counting the ads though) My brother got one(and like 6 invites). However, he conviently gave them all away before I could ask for one.

Well, when there's 1 GB space, 10 MB attachments allowed, conversation view, keyboard shortcuts, search through your mail like a search engine, archiving your email, labeling it (kinda like folders), very good spam protection, and a lot more, there's bound to be hype. :P

Cool! Gmail's been pretty hyped, but since Yahoo upped its space to 100mb, that might keep some people from switching to Google.
Too bad I'll be gone July 4th, I won't be able to sign up right away. If that's true, there's gonna be major lag though.

Personally 1 GB is too much, I mean how many people use that much space?

Agreed. Heck, for me, 100 MB is too much. I didn't even use 10% of the 6 MB I had for Yahoo! Mail. XP
