I like the commercials and it seems to have a preview of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith in it! I wanna see!

and about the disney/pixar split-up:

PIXAR
-------
Pixar is going to make other 3D movies since they believe that the only reason pixar/disney is succesful is because of the 3D.

DISNEY
---------
Disney is making their own 3D studios and can sequel any disney/pixar movie whenever they want. They believe they don't need pixar anywayz. There's a rumor about Toy Story 3 ...

so eventually... we'll keep getting 3D movies from Disney and Pixar, dunno if they'll be as good as the ones before made...

Sun Nov 28, 2004 5:54 pm

Disney is useless without Pixar. Remember "Dinosaur"? Niether does anyone else.

Sun Nov 28, 2004 6:03 pm

Yes, in my opinion, non-Pixar Disney movies in the past few years have really bit.

Sun Nov 28, 2004 7:06 pm

I believe the first non-Pixar movie will be Chicken Little. That's right... Chicken Litle.

Michael Eisner has also been quoted saying something along the lines that normal animation is dead, so don't expect to see many more of those until he finally goes away forever, which, believe me, can't happen soon enough.

Amen to that...

Has anyone seen the direct to video "Twice Upon a Christmas" with Micker, Donald, Goofy etc? The whole thing is computer animated.

Granted I'm curious to see it (I don't have the same negative reaction to these movies with the classic crew then I do to the direct to video sequels)...but Mickey doesn't feel like Mickey unless he's hand drawn...

But the Pixar stuff is another story. :)

Toy Story 3 is not a rumor, it's been confirmed that Disneys making it.
Though lord knows what it'll be about.

Eisner can go suck an egg. I remember not long ago that they were thinking about who to replace him with. I hope he leaves, and someone comes in to reform Disney.
It broke my heart to see Disneys nephew leave the company. What is Disney, without a Disney onstaff?

*sighs*

I hate Eisner.
He took my precious gargoyles away from me.
The plot hadn't even been finished!
I'd kick him in the shins if I could.

I LOVED GARGOYLES! I have all the old action figures, and the movie . . . with every episode taped, as well. I still watch them quite frequently, and I do wish there could have been some plot resolution . . .

I remember Dinosaurs and I loved it as did my girls. The story was perhaps not as cheery as most Disney films are what with destruction and hunger and thirst being a part of the plot but I still thought the story was great.

I loved the little monkeys...

Anyway, on the subject of Disney without Pixar I want to remind you guys that SHREK is an example of an excellent 3d-animated film NOT made by Pixar (nor Disney, I know) that is great fun to watch. Which means not only Pixar can make great 3d films though they do do excellent work.

There is talent everywhere and I am sure there are still talented people out there who would love to work for Disney despite the fact that that Eisner is still there.

Back on the subject let me just say that the Incredibles was an excellent film and we were surprised to see more teen-agers than "little kids" at the theater when we went to see it.

Isn't Disney limited to making sequels for their Pixar movies? I'm pretty sure they aren't allowed to make sequels without Pixar's consent.

Anywho, Toy Story 3 will be about when Andy is all grown up and what'll happent to the toys than. I read that in an interview somewhere. Seems interesting. And also, a sequel to Monsters Inc. might happen. Stupid Disney.

Bambi and the Great Prince
Premise: The new film is a 'midquel', the story taking place in the middle of the first Bambi movie. It is your basic teenage angst tale, dealing with Bambi coping with his Father, the Great Prince, and his finding of a new mate while an orphaned Bambi comes to terms with his Mother's death. -- Animated News

Mulan II
Image Gallery
Premise: Mulan and Captain Li Shang are going to be married, but before they can have their happily ever after the Chinese Emperor has a mission for them. The Mongol threat is growing once again and to cement an alliance the Emperor asks that Mulan and Li Shang escort his three princesses to marry the sons of a lord. Arranged marriage is not an idea that sits particularly well with Mulan and the task will be a test for her heart and her loyalties.

*shakes head*
Bambi 2 = painful
Mulan 2 = Mulan 1

*sighs*

Bambi as a teenage angst film? Uh, freaky. As for Mulan II, I have seen a preview for it. It looks alright, it might be better than most Disney sequels but I could be wrong. And I knew that would be the plot line for Toy Story 3, it sounds good. Hopefully Pixar wants in on this one.

And there's rumors Lilo & Stich 2 will be coming as well. And before you say the other DVDs/Videos of L&S are sequels, they're not. Stitch! The Movie was a spinoff. And the Island video was the series of L&S put together in a DVD/Video.

Mon Nov 29, 2004 9:54 pm

I knew about the Lilo and Stich movie. Meh. Who knows, I loved the original movie (it's just so cute!) (and it made me cry like a little girl).

Theres also an Emperors New Groove 2 thats been anounced.
Havn't a clue about that one.

*starts shaking*

I feel like I'm going to throw up.

And for the first time ever, I actually mean that. Mulan 2 was only a matter of time and I'll groan and whine about it. But reading that about Bambi...I've never felt so physically ill in a reaction to a children's movie before.

Now excuse me while I go cry.

What?! That's one of my favorite Disney movies!

Disney is useless without Pixar. Remember "Dinosaur"? Niether does anyone else.

Not even Disney remember that. I remember a news post on a big named site (Perhaps CNN or Disney themselves) saying "Chicken Little" will be their first non-animated 3D movie.

I for one loved Dinosaur. I have a poster of it on my wall.

Also, Dumbo 2 is set to be released. There was a preview of it on the Dumbo DVD. It's about the circus animals and Dumbo. Way to ruin another classic Disney.

The Emperors Newer Grove T__T. What are they gonna do? Turn him into a llama again?

Like I posted on Cyanna LJ, Disney has become craptactular, its a sinking ship thats going to take all hands down with it. Pixar fortunately is escaping on the metaphorical lifeboat.
