New Banner UP.

the new, larger, banner is up. my cellblock game just shifted down 12 pixels.

oh, the trauma.

actually, its not that bad. just kinda... jumps out.. at you.

The banner is horrible, I understand that neo needs it in order to keep the site free but that is WAY to big!!

I got a shock when it came out.

And Adam lied. Adblocking the ad does not move the page up higher. I'm traumatised... :cry:

Least banner is gone on userlookups, so it's easy to fix userlookups now.

I love it. I didn't even have to download any plugins or w/e with Firefox, and its already whited out.

EDIT: Bleh, the only banner that currently shows is the Brightvale banner. Anyone else use Firefox know of a different banner?

I think they made it so that if you want to see your account/active neopet/neopoints in hand, you'll have to look up more, therefore seeing the ads at the same time... -_-

I have Foxfire and banners show fine for me.

Sorry, Meowth, I don't have a side bar,so I don't know the code for it. If I did, I'd tell you it.

Trutfully, I don't mind the banner...I just have to get use to where my UL, pet, and NP is at now. >_<

My 2 cents worth: It stinks....

Out of 50 different page views, 46 of the ads were for Verizon (albeit different versions of Verizon ads). Only 4 of the banners were Neopets-related. The thing that bugs me most is the time it takes for 2 different outside sites to be contacted for 1 ad, i.e., atdmt.com and realmedia.com.

So does anyone know if by "Premium", Adam is referring to the branded ISP product, or does the Portal/Toolbar also qualify for no ads???

I have to agree.... it ends up making me loose focus on what I was trying to pay attention to when it comes to my neopoint total (such if I'm playing a game like Gormball or Dice-a-roo)

Very distracting design-wise for me.... and the adblock solution doesn't help with it.
