What the...

What I would suggest doing is blocking their domains from sending you e-mails. I know you can do that on Yahoo, I dunno about GMail though.

I think that on gmail there are some good spam filters - explore those :)

On my old email addy I used to get alot of spam - I find that deleting them straight away so it's status is unread helps a little :)

I've reserved my gmail account for friends only. The other is my ISP mail, that's spammed heavily, about a 1000 in a week or so.

Don't give out your Gmail except to close friends. That's what I did and I've recieved two spams in a month, relating to about 100 a day (yes) on my Yahoo account.

I get approximately 75 spam messages a day. This is because the University has an online directory of students that doesn't scramble the e-mail addresses. -_- Luckily I have Outlook 2003 so everything plops itself right into my spam folder and I don't even have to look at the ugly pictures. I have two e-mail accounds - A gmail which I tell to all of you guys, and a hotmail one which I just tell to my friends in real life and let them spam it.

I've had my G-Mail for about 2 weeks, and it seems okay.

**amused** Why is it always the real life people that send spam and forwards and junk?

I have two e-mail accounts as well, both with Yahoo, one that I use to sign up for stuff, and another for friends I can trust. I'm not particularly a fan of e-mail in the first place, I only use it if I have to. Anyway, with my personal e-mail account, I barely get any e-mail, and no spam. Which is fine with me.
