Frozen. November 2. Sent e-mail. Nothing happens. Two weeks ago. Sent a paper letter. No reply.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that my letter was either eaten my the demi-sharks of the polar realm in former Yugoslavia that managed to reappear because of a temporary rip in the time-space continum, or they really haven't read my letter and don't care either way. I've heard of people getting results from paper letters, but it seems this, too, no longer works. There goes my chances of getting my account back.

Unless my handwriting is so bad that the post office screwed everything up, but that doesn't seem likely. I refused to believe just how bad Neopets' customer service was until now.

Yes, this does reinforce what could be the general stereotype of these forums by TNT, but when have you gone here WITHOUT seeing someone with a "frozen" board up? If at least 20 or more of the seeming 250 (correct me if I'm wrong) active posters get frozen unjustly every few weeks, what does that say about the grander scale of things?

I heard they blocked staff e-mails.

Yes, Neopets is free, and it's only a game- But what's the point if everything you work for over the course of two years can be destroyed in an instant? Why bother? The site is there for entertainment (And advertisements), so why nmot keep customers coming there by NOT freezing at the drop of a hat?

You could try calling them up by phone, and sending faxes. Heck, make a public service announcement, maybe that'll work :P Heh, I dunno. Keep trying is all I can say.

Send them an email every week. A polite and well written one, mind. And make each of these emails different. After 2 weeks, try sending another letter. If possible, try ringing them up even (if you're willing to pay for the cost of the call that is). See if you can send a fax.

If you care for your account so much, and TNT see this, they may just unfreeze your account. You just have to hope that your letters and emails get into the right hands, and not into some yobbo 16 year old on work experience.

And if all else fails, try blackmailing them by saying you'll complain to all of their sponsors, and DO IT if they don't respond.

What were you frozen for? If it is something that you actually did then it doesnt matter how many times you write to them, they wont unfreeze your account.

If you are genuinely innocent though, then keep writing to them but dont let it consume up too much of your life as there are no guarrantees that they will unfreeze you. If you havent already, I would suggest creating a new account and maybe write in once a fortnight until you have a response, then if they reply and give you your account back then thats great, but if they reply and say they arent going to give you it back then I think that you should accept it and carry on with your new account.

good luck anyway!:)

Someone once told me it could take a month or slightly longer to hear anything from snail mail letters... I don't know if thats true because luckily I've never had to mail them anything, but they could be getting to your letter or something? I would suggest to not give up, keep trying. Email them again, be polite, etc. I hope you manage to get your account back.

Omni, I had a 2 month wait before hearing from Support when I had a frozen account. Reason for freezing? Scamming. I had fallen for a fake login page (this was almost 2 years ago), and I'm guessing that whoever took over my account was trying to scam others the way they scammed me.

I did write using the autoform. I wrote once a week. I was polite, apologetic, kept giving all the facts and got to the point of basically pleading with them. I did not write to any specific staff member, just kept using the autoform.

Yes I got an answer, yes I got my account back. But it takes time, which I know it's hard to be patient when it's your account. I know that some people are unfrozen really fast, but I think that's the exception, not the rule. And anymore, I don't know if it's a change in staff or a change in policy or what, but depending on the reason for freezing they're much less "forgiving" and less likely to return an account frozen for cheating or scamming or even multi-ing then they were in the past. The benefit of the doubt has gone down greatly.

Oh, and I do think you're right on the individual staff member emails not working anymore. I think they get bounced and you get a reply saying to use the autoform.
