OMG that looks soooooooo cool.
But it's by Tim Burton so it's bound to be good.

I don't like the original cos it's too happy happy joy joy.
Roald Dahl's books aren't happy happy joy joy at all they are very sinister.

Oh... my... GOODNESS.

That looks really... strange. In my opinion. Eurgh. Willy Wonka looks... evil. 0_0

Unless another trailer comes out that changes my mind, I'll be sticking with the amazing original movie.

Ohh strange, i'v been looking all over the place for a trailer, thanks for posting...

Anyway, it just seems so un-Johnny Depp like to show all of his teeth like that, hehe... He hardly every smiles...

I also think thats more of what you would call a teaser rather then a trailer, so hopefully there will be something a bit more informative later on...

I can't wait to see it! Looks a bit scary though. I remember when I was little I was terrified of some of the scenes in the old movie. I mean you never really see what happens to those kids. Tim Burton's version is going to be freaky.

And no, I'm not worried whether its going to be better or worse than the old movie. I don't call the old movie the "original". The book is the original. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is an interpretation of the book. Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will just be another interpretation.
I hope they get a better kid to play Charlie in this movie though. The Charlie in the old movie was...eh. I didn't like him. He couldn't even sing that well.

Chewing gum is really gross
Chewing gum I hate the most :D

Upon watching the trailer. I'm frightened and intrigued. 'Nuff said.

Maybe in the book their voices were supposed to be high, I can't remember. But yea, I don't think we should really keep comparing it to the first movie. It's not based on the first movie, it's based on the book. And it may follow the book better than the first movie did.
It's been 10 years since I've read the book though.

Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka...riiiiiiight. Old one's better and I haven't even seen the new one yet but by the looks of the trailer it doesn't seem so good =o

Did the book say Willy Wonka had to look a bit like Marylin Manson?

It reminded me of this pic of him with red hair and a hat in the same pose as this:

Normally he would look nothing like him.

And heres an interesting article: http://www.roalddahlfans.com/books/charoompa.php
