Not much to say about myself except that I like to play neopets (same username) and I am a sophomore in college working for a major in illustration.

One of my favorite neopet activities is entering in the beauty contest. I you're interested, the pet "Marffey" is in this weeks bc. I doubt any pet will be in next week due to being the last week of the semester and pulling a couple all-nighters to finish a couple class projects.

The character I based my gelert of of (a chacter I'm developing, but haven't came up with a story yet) I also go as ButterflyChaser if you're into the virtual game called Petz. It's a fun little game where you adopt and care for a dog or cat. If you know the right places you can download breeds that people altered to be something other than a dog or cat.

(sometmes you'll see a dog from this game placed in the bc as a "lupe" or "gelert" )

(note: anything with this pixelated style comes from that game. So if you come across a bc entry that looks sorta like this, it was taken from the game. I'm not sure if it is worth reporting, because the developers of the game encourage you to take "snapshots" of your pets and send them as postcards etc. I think If they deviate from the default dog breeds then it should be reported because the "hexer" who created the breed should be the one to get credit from it. The hexer is afterall the artist. It can take months to make a breed.


I also like to write stories. All of my neopets (with the exceptopn of Haoly, the pound pet) are based off my characters.

Edit: Not too many people seem to know me. Maybe I better stick to lurking for now on until my neopet account is at least a year old.

I worked pretty long today (yesterday evening through the am hours) with illustrator and photoshop.

Here's a Christmas treat. He'll even be ready friday Dec 24. Perfect timing, no?

I just entered it in the art gallery. Hopefully if it doesn't win in one of those contests, it should win in the other. The gelert usually has the toughest competiton in the bc. But the positive side is if it makes past the competion it could have a chance of being an overall winner, which is what I'm hoping for. Sadly Rukis and Buzzes seem to be overlooked most the time.

Seems right now that the beauty contest is my only real way of making neopoints, besides my shop and the dailies, now that the games take too long to load on my home computer and I have lost interest in many of them. If I do play a game it is usually swarm which I can get a pretty good np total out of. Sometimes I can get near 3k.

I find the beauty contest most rewarding, minus the advertising part.

I'm pondering over trying out comics and stuff for their newsletter as well.
Seems that Zippywazzit is too good of a character to keep to myself.

And thanks for the welcomings I can't lurk very well. Once I read something I usually want to reply and am bothered if I don't.

I'll be putting Zippy in there soon. I also hope to get a picture of the amazing owl, wood faerie guy I had to draw for my figure drawing class, last Thurs. I had to pull an all nighter on that project, so part of the reason I have nothing in the bc this week.
