Co-wrote? Or just changed a lyric here and there? Come on Ammer, don't be so naive. If an "artist" co-writes one song, then I wouldn't class that as writing their own material. To me, to write music, you've got to have some basic knowledge of music.

Perhaps co-wrote was the wrong word but she did write that song. She wrote it with three other people. And it does seem like a song she'd write, it's all complaining.

I agree, thats all she does
But anyway, her voice sounds so computerized in the video... I'm not a fan of her acting, but I think she has no singing skills what so ever.

And as for the other 2 people I was talking about, I meant Hilary Duff, and Jojo.
Along with any other pop singer.

I think Hilary Duff has had her share both of live singing and lypsynching. I have seen and heard both. She is okay live, her voice isn't like "Wow, she sounds different". Lindsay on the other is. And I really doubt Jojo lypsyncs. I mean, hasn't she won many competitions in America? For singing? The most talent kid in America -- I know she won that one. I think Jojo's voice is genuine.

I just hope Jesse McCartney is caught, I will laugh so hard if he is.

"co-wrote" does indeed mean that she wrote it with others. which if you ask me, that's hardly something to go around boasting about. it's not that hard to write songs. ESPECIALLY pop songs. i mean come on. if you need three people's help to rhyme "baby" with "maybe" then i can't call you talented.

The lyrics bit is easy. You've got to know what type of chords match with notes, the instruments, accompianment, rythmn etc. It's harder than it looks, trust me, I struggled for a good 6 months trying to come up with a decent compostition for G.C.S.E. Music!

That's like saying, "I'm a gourmet chef. I made myself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich this morning." If she did co-write "Rumors", that still doesn't do much to impress anyone. Boo hoo, you're famous. Go home, listen to Dashboard Confessional and cry about it.

Frankly, none of the teeny bopper princess songs are good. Avril co-writes her songs and the lyrics are childish and contrived.

These people don't come up with tunes or music sheets. They are given a tune, and they sit down with 20 or so professional songwriters and they make suggestions on what lyrics would go with it. A potato could write better lyrics than some of these people come up with.

Hurrah for Fidds! She's just said exactly what I was trying to, but a great deal more bluntly. :P

She co-wrote it meaning she wanted to get the message out that people spread crap about her.... that's like two lines, and the lyrics are so superficial anyway. Dear goodness.

In my opinion, if you don't want to be talked about, don't get bad chest jobs and make out with michrophones.

It's ironic that they caught her miming during that song.

what has happened to the state of pop music now? First Ashlee Simpson...now this...soon they'll say Madonna lip-sync...
no wait...the last one is a fact.

where has the world gone to?!

hey, every artist right now has probably thought of at least thinking about lipsynicing, and disney makes them all (Lohan , Duff (maybe) , Raven, and even Britney Spears become singers although raven is pretty good , not the best I add

Raven was singing forever. She even sung for her show themesong. Those go hand in hand, although I'm no fan, i despise pop. This is my opinion: If everyone does it, it still doesn't make it right. First off, if i wanted to listen to the CD, i'd stay home on the couch and save myself a fortune. I like it when bands make it interesting, like coheed and cambria who add crazy guitar solos mixing it up when they go live. Energy is everything. A lot of singers say they lip sync because fans want to hear it like it is on the radio, well guess what, then don't write songs that you can't sing, you should be able to reproduce that same song. The truth is, most of those teeny boppers, hilary, lohan, and the infamous ashlee *bleh* simpson, only have a record because they're sell able, thats what preteens want. ashlee, hilary, lohan are idolized and kids will by their cd, and they are pretty. If you listen to their music, you can tell it is computerized, heck i watched ashlee simpson sing on her show without a machine, she's HORRIBLE! All three of them have so much stuff ran overtop to soften their voice. Listen closely.
