Well, all my family's laundry goes into one big basket which my mom puts into the washer. She usually does this before she goes to work, so either my cousin (who lives with me) or I put it in the drier when we get home from school. Actually, she sometimes does it before she goes to bed and puts it into the drier in the mornings, so we take it out of the drier and fold it when we get home from school.

When I was 11, I went to a sleepaway computer camp [to learn to program QBASIC, ha ha ha..] and didn't know how to do my own laundry. I handwashed my undies and wore what clean stuff I had left. What an able child I was..

This is going to sound spoiled but I really don't do anything. I guess you can say I'm spoiled but I rarely clean my house let alone my room and I rarely cook or do laundry. My parents don't really pressure me to do it by myself, however, I always learn how to do things just in case.

I'm sorry, Ammer, but there isn't much to know about tidying your room or doing laundry.

Well I know. But I make sure I know how to tidy my room or do the laundry in case I go to a University away from home. However, obviously you need to know more than cleaning your room and doing the laundry to survive on your own.

never fear, shapu! you can wash the "wash cold separately" with the other cold-wash clothes and it'll be fine. "line dry flat" means don't fold it over the line. easy translation: just put it on a hanger to dry. same for the tumble dry stuff. stick it on a hanger and leave it hanging on your shower curtain rod for an hour or two, maybe with a fan aimed at it.

your answer, which will win every time, should be "huhuhuhuh...at least i have a girlfriend." then look the guy up and down, raise an eyebrow, and leave.

I miss the days of wash cold, rinse cold, dry on permanent press. That was my laundry zenith.

My clothes are all cheap and simple, so I just throw everything in together and go. I do have a few garments that require special care, but I almost never wear that stuff, so it doesn't matter.

As for lacy stuff? Oh dear... one day I was doing laundry. When I went back down to the laundry room to switch my clothes over to the dryer, there was a little old lady in there doing her laundry. As I moved an armfull of clothing across, something fell. My laciest black bra. And it fell near the lady's feet. And she was like "Hun, you dropped something." Oy XD

I did that in a store when buying a bra. It fell next to a guy and he pointed it out.

Clothes these days are very picky on how they liked to be washed. I just tend to wash them in cold, to be safe.

Don't be afraid to see the truth, even if no one wants you to. Be yourself and not a fool. Don't ever be afraid to speak your mind and listen to criticism. Dissent is keeps our country progressive and willingness to challenge yourself is what keeps yourself ever evolving.

I'm 17 and my mom does most of my laundry. I bung all mine in the clothes dryer and then iron my clothes (badly) but that's about it.

I like ironing.

The washing machine hates me though. I'm perfectly willing to do chores when asked, like getting the washing out and hanging it up. But the washing machine door doesn't want to open for me.
