What commercials do you love/hate? I thought this might be an interesting topic.

I like these...

I forget what this advertised...A mother and father are watching closely over their young daughter as she approaches a swingset...with a dead fish on it. She steps closer, and all of a sudden, the fish moves! The parents quickly snatch the girl away and look on with a weary distrust. I'm trying my best to describe it...It's absolutely hilarious, because it's sort of a parody of overprotective parents, but displayed in an odd, nonsensical way.

There was also a really funny Pop Tarts commercial. A teenage boy strolls through the kitchen, and his mother asks him what happened at school. We go into a memory sequence where the kid is standing in a hallway at school when a figure clad in full knight armor approaches him and kicks him in the shins. He writhes on the floor in pain. Then we see the knight walking away down the hall. He snaps back an intimidating glare at the poor kid before continuing on. It's just an odd parody of school bullying and also utterly hilarious.

The Burger King "Wake Up with the King" ads are funny in a really awkward, almost homoerotic way. A guy wakes up with someone in the scariest looking king costume I've ever seen. It has a weird grin and it's just...OMG. At the end of the commercial, the "king" puts his hand on the leg of that poor, freaked-out guy. Strange. Hilarious.

Now, hatewise...

I hate the Oust commercials. They're just shoddily-done clips of housewives describing the stupid Oust thing in detail like it's the highlight of their day. It makes me sick, because an alien watching this commercial would get the idea that all women are homemakers who care about frivolous things like how lemony-fresh the room smells.

This'll probably be repeated...McDonald's "I'm lovin' it." It's the most eye-rollingly lame attempt at capitalizing off of hip-hop culture (and believe me, we've seen some lame ones).

now all i need to do is convince the companie who made it (i forget their name..) to make an optimus prime and a megatron and im set for the best scene of transformers the movie. (megatron must be stopped, no matter the cost )

Oh Chrome! I love the fish commercial! It's for fishsticks or something. The fish is freaky looking! It's some kind of scary puppet! OOH I found a pic!

She approaches, and then her parents snatch her away, and the voiceover says "Uncomfortable around fish?"
There's also another one where the scary fish is on a raquetball court, and all the other people are backing away slowly in fear.

The Knight one is cool.

The Burger King one is scary.

The Oust one is stupid.

As for my picks? I like the ones for that... T Mobile Sidekick thing with all the lesser celebrities (Snoop Dog, Molly Shannon, Paris Hilton) messaging eachother to try to figure out how much a pat of butter is (Molly: When I see that in a recipe, I just throw the whole stick in.) and when to put in the fabric softener (Paris: Snoop does his own laundry? That's hot.)

I hate the new Dr Pepper commercial. It's playing Meatloaf's I Would Do Anything For Love in the background, and it's showing this guy doing all this stuff for his girlfriend, like buying tampons, and washing her underwear at a laundry-mat. And then she tries to take a sip of his Dr Pepper while they're on the couch together, and it gets to the "But I won't do that!" part of the song, and the guy freaks out and runs out the door with his Dr Pepper. It's so stupid! It's a freaking Dr Pepper! A 12 ounce can, they cost what... 75 cents each?

Oh my God, thank you SO MUCH! That is awesome. LOL The "Uncomfortable around fish?" voiceover makes it that much funnier.

He's starting a fight?
Calmn down, it's only a commerical.... is one of the most irritating adverts ever, featuring one of the most obnoxious human beings to grace (ahem) this planet.

My favorite commercial used to be the HP commercial where they put a picture frame over something, move it, and there's a picture. My new favorite is for Mercenaries. "I'll flip a coin to decide which building to blow up... then blow them both up."

The commercial I hate is for gotomypc.com. They pretty much do 20 mini commercials, and you wonder "Good god, when is it going to end?"

All the ones you mentioned, Chrome.. I love those.

There was this on for Old Navy with The Nanny lady in it. That was funny.. and the one where they go,"Rip, slip, brush, ahhhhhhhh". I have those motions down perfect.

Me too! I swear I starting twitching when I discovered I knew someone who'd bought it...

And the "Calm down dear" adverts drive me mad! Seen the one where he's in a car crash? He sure looks shocked.

The fish is so scary! And it's like.. swaying it's head a little, and opening and closing it's mouth... **shudders** This is why I don't eat fish!

Oh I also hate the constant ringtone adverts. They drive me mad because they are so overpriced no one buys them!!

There's one commercial only my friend Jessica and I have ever seen. It was a Dairy Queen commercial. There were two guys, one was playing the drums with straws and the other was holding two ice creams in a cup upside down. He was whiping them around and going, "Dude, dude, dude, dude!" It was about how their ice cream is so thick it won't fall out of the cups. (I actually got in trouble at Dairy Queen for trying this. The commercial lies, it fell out. )

And then there was that Geico commercial for the hair regrowth product. I got tricked by that thing twice! Grrrr...I sat there thinking, "That hair stuff doesn't really work does it?" And as always, it's just a Geico commercial. Bah!

Commercials I can't stand...hmmm...Probably any beer commercials. They're usually annoying and just show a lot of girls in bikinis and parties.
