Hi guys! You may notice there's a new board on the forum list. That's for PPT news. Anything that is posted there appears on PPT's front page. This is done for 2 reasons.

1) Everything is now centralized around the forum community now. People who previously had access to news can now post news on PPT by clicking on "Create Topic" in that forum. It's that easy.

2) The news comments are now inline with the rules of this community so there's no... weird people... hehehe!

Any posts made in that board doesn't add to your post count.

PPT NEWS (Free For All!)

OK guys. I am going to be changing the way the news works at PPT. Rather than having appointed staff post news on a weekly basis, I am opening news posts to EVERYONE!

Yep you read me right! Anyone and everyone can post news about whatever they way (within reason shown below)... anytime they want. However, to have this privilege, you must meet the criteria below. Note that having the required merits below does not guarantee access. Each case will be considered on an individual basis and first and foremost, the person must be able to demonstrate that he/she is a reasonably bright person with articulate English ability and a reputation that will show that he/she will not abuse his/her news posting abilities.

CRITERIA

(1) A member of PPT for a good time and thus, well versed in PPT culture.
(2) A reasonably bright individual with articulate English skills.
(3) A well-respected individual who will not abuse their privileges.
(4) A minimum of 1,000 posts (quality only, SPAM will be viewed as negative one million posts to your overall count)

HOW TO GAIN ACCESS

If you meet the criteria above, PM me via the forum and if you are approved, I will reply with all the relevant login information.

WHY AM I DOING THIS?

This is the next logical step in making PPT a community driven website. Only respectable members who wish to have this opportunity will be able to have it to ensure abuse does not occur.

POSTING GUIDELINES

(1) No Neopets images.
(2) No Neopets related images/artwork.
(3) No links to Neopets pages other than http://www.neopets.com
(4) No posts with the intent of plugging or advertising another website, product etc. although I don't mind if you place a complimentary link to your own website at the end of a news post as a thank-you for your efforts.
(5) Neopets or PPT related news/commentary only.

QUESTIONS

What if I had over 1,000 posts in the last forum reset?
PM me and I will consider it However, unless you haven't reached the milestone at some point, then the requirement stands.

How often do we need to post?
You don't even have to post full stop. It's an extra present to you for being a valued member of our community.

That is a very cool and good thing to do, and I feel that it can only make this awesome community better. Go PPT!

I would like to do it, but I usually post on NNV, so my post count is below 1k.

Almost three years and over 9000 posts! Err, wait. Since June/July and 1600 posts... if I decide too, I could probably become one... its the deciding part thats hard.

EDIT: Hey! I have an idea! I'll find a flower... no, none bloom in the snow... I'll flip a coin... no, dad has them all... I'll roll a die... no, that won't work, I don't have to choose out of six options... Hmm. I guess I'll just have to sleep on it. But I don't want to go to bed!

Question: Could you be more specific on the "job requirements"? Like how often we should post and what should it be about? What does "PPT news" mean?

I'd apply for it, but I would be at a lack of what to post most of the time.

It's a great idea, though. When I get the thinking part of my brain, I'll apply. XP

Im sure SL would take that into consideration in a few cases. Cyanna's would be a prime example, as she has already shown herself to be more than capable/trustworthy.
