We studied that book in grade 4...or 5? one of those grades. Maybe even 6..but I don't think so. Yeah, I make so much sense :)

It was an awesome book...and I would say it IS, but I can't really remember it anymore, haha. I quite liked her other books too.

I liked the book a lot. It melded Einstein's view of the Universe with Christian religion.

The only thing I don't like are the Communist-like Camoztozian people. But then again, this WAS written during the Coldwar-WW2.

You know what I loved about that book? The line about sonnets. So true to my heart.

Do what you will; but I will hinder it if I may.

Agreed.

The book was great. Very original, although I thought the ending was a bit corny.

My 5th grade teacher read it to us, and I've been in love ever sence. I'm not really sure what gives it charm, but its influenced by writting a lot. It was the first book I read that really was just different, and defied the rules of the time for Fanasty and Science Fiction with out making it ridiculus. Very few books even today can do that.

I adored A Wrinkle in Time, A Wind in the Door, and A Swiftly Tilting Planet. I didn't know about the other two sequels until just recently when I was putting the three I knew about on my Amazon wishlist. I may be 24, but those books were some of my favorites as a youngster, along with Bridge to Terebithia. I was so upset to find out they banned Terebithia a t my old middle school a couple of years ago because it was 'too traumatic'.
