I dislike the 80's as a decade, but as my mate pointed out, it was the decade when Metallica were actually good.

I cannot stand Josh Groban or Clay Aiken. Or Ashlee Simpson. Or Nickelback.

Josh Groban and Clay Aiken sucks, badly. :) But still, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte, Avril Lavigne, and Ashlee Simpson get tied on the 1st place for the worst band/artist, ever. :)

I never really got why everyone hates Avril Lavigne, so she doesn't have the greatest voice to her, but her pipes are amazing. You try singing 10 songs in a row without skipping a beat for a breathe.

For hilary duff, urgh the names just makes me shudder scary.

I completely agree with you on all of them.

Good Charlotte. 'Nuff said.

Matchbox 20 because theyre gonna win in Versus to AC/DC

I hate Clay Aiken too. I can't stand his music.

For me choosing a band I hate is the message they're delivering, their voice and how they act normally. If a person is rude when they're not singing, etc... I'll hate them. But if they're an all around good person, I'll like that artist (Hence why I like Good Charlotte).

:P I'm grudging aginast Matchbox 20 too now. They weren't that good to begin with. AC/DC should have owned them.

I don't care if everyone hates Clay Aiken's music, but saying he has a bad voice? That's just not true.

--------

Anyways... I actually like most of the artists that people here claim to 'hate.' I don't really hate anyone, I don't know them personally, and what they're really like. I just dislike their music...and sometimes their voices and wonder why they are so famous.

-I used to really dislike Hilary Duff until I started listening to a few songs...now I don't like her, but I can stand her. I don't think she has a good voice though.
-Nelly...I don't like rap though, but if I hear "Over and Over Again" one more time, I'm going to throw my radio out the window.
-Eminem...again, I don't like rap. Still, what does insulting people do for you? He's popular for hating people? What is up with that?
-I like some artists like Christina Aguilera, Ashlee Simpson, Avril Lavigne, and sometimes even Britney Spears. I just hate how they are sooo overexposed. It's like, who cares?

Favorite/Hated Band/Singers

People I hate the most: HILARY DUFF(do not forget that), Eminem(for sure). People I don't exactly "hate", but I don't like so much: I think a lot of the rappers, but I think Usher isn't so bad. Christina Anguilera too. I just don't like where she pierced for rings. Most adult singers I don't give such a flavor, except maybe Madonna.

The OK, or "yay!!!" people I like: Britney(she's not bad, her music really says something), Avril, Ashlee Simpson(but I liked it better when she didn't turn all punk and rock, like the song "pieces of me"), Lindsay(I don't like all of her videos, but if it were an audio, I LOVE it), Kelly Clarkson(her music is pretty good), Ciara(eh, not much news, but I like her songs), Michelle Branch(her new hairdue is so NOT what I'm talking about, though), Jojo(real name: Joanna Levesque), Jesse McCartney, PLAY(a really good band, but they're pretty unknown to the celebrity world), A*Teens(they're pretty popular). I think I like more people rather than hate..... 0:)

For a guy who doesn't listen to her, I give Avril some cred. Going through her newest album, I was shocked to hear she worked with Raine Maida. For those OLP-virgins out there, Maida is probably the greatest alternative rock singer to ever come out of Canada. The guy hates generally everything manufactured. To see that he was willing to work with her says something to me.

But then again, he could tell me to jump off a bridge and I'd ask how high.

..er..which*
