Question about defense

Is there such thing as defense boost like strength boost...if yes...does it have the same rate as strength...like maximum is 700...minimum is ... 8...???

These particular article teaches you everything you need to know about defence and how it works.

The first one is mighty confusing, but once you break it down(I had to break it down a couple of times) it starts making a ton of sense.

The second one is shorter and gives an general idea of how defence works.
