(Okay Lillie, I guess you can take my character, then. This will probably be my last post here, unless I get a chance to post again this evening. If I don't post again within 24 hours, then you can go ahead and start RPing as my character. I'll be back around July 5th or so, unless we don't catch the flight we want to. Anyway, thankee!)
(Time for much backtracking. Prepare for an extremely long post.)
Mina ate her dinner slowly. By the time she was finished, there was only one other person in the dining hall, and that was a professor who was poring (sp?) over a rather large textbook, occasionally making little notations in a small notebook. He didn't take much notice of Mina as she finished eating and slipped out of the dining hall.
Getting back to her dorm, Mina realized she was going to have to be very discreet in getting ready to go down to train. Sometimes her room mates stayed up late to study for tests or finish homework, and the last thing she wanted them to do was start questioning her upon entering the room. Of course, this wasn't too likely. She and her room mates generally kept to themselves, and she hardly ever spoke to them. She hoped it wouldn't be too much different now.
Taking a deep breath, Mina quietly entered the room. Three beds were occupied by three bodies, which rose and fell steadily with each breath. Good, Mina thought, They're asleep. She tiptoed across the room and checked the clock. It was nearly 10 PM.
Hmmm... Mina thought. She would have to wait a while to go down. Many professors, even students, had been known to stay up this late. If she went down now, there was still quite a large chance that she could be interrupted. Sighing, she sat down on her bed.
Nearly an hour and a half passed. Mina kept herself busy by thinking up new warrior tactics. It was difficult to concentrate on them, however, when her excitement seemed to be building exponentially. By 11 o'clock, keeping herself from getting up and jumping around the room was some challenge. Finally, at 11:45, Mina decided it was time to go.
Feeling in her pocket to be sure that her new job sphere was still safely stowed away there, Mina got up. She tiptoed across the room silently, opened the door, and closed it behind her with a small 'click.' The she hurried down the hallway.
She walked for quite a while before finding an empty classroom that was large enough to suit her tastes. Going to the training room would have been much easier, of course, but that would be risky, as it was towards the center of the school. If someone was still roaming the school (Besides herself, of course) then it was likely they would pass the training room and see her there. She didn't want that to happen.
The classroom that she decided on was on the far side of the school, which made Mina happy. She entered it and closed the door, making sure that it was locked. You couldn't be too careful. Then she flipped on the lights and moved to the center of the room.
This is it. She thought, pulling out the dress sphere. It was quite warm, despite the fact that it was made of glass. The tiny skull revolved inside of it slowly. Closing her eyes, Mina gripped the sphere tightly, willing it silently to transform her...
It happened so quickly. Mina could feel the warmth of the dress sphere spreading from her fingertips, moving over her entire body, filling her with the same strange, warm sensation. When it moved over her head, it seemed to work itself into her mind, making her slightly dizzy. Finally, when she no longer felt the warmth spreading, she opened her eyes.
Her new outfit stunned her. It was much different from her warrior outfit, with long, sleek, black pants that were slightly baggy. A stretchy white shirt came only partially down her torso, showing off most of her midriff. Over this was a long-sleeved shirt made out of silky red, purple, and black material, with baggy sleeves that came down to Mina’s fingetips. In one hand she held a blade. It was much different than her warrior’s sword, which was thicker and completely straight. This blade was sleek, light, and had a slight curve to it, especially near the end. It glimmered fantastically. The warrior dress sphere laid peacefully at Mina’s feet.
Mina wasn’t sure how long she spent working out how to use her blade. It felt so much different than her sword when she swung it, and seemed to cooperate more easily. She practiced different attacks on a chair sitting at the back of the room, hoping no one would notice it was missing, as it was reduced to very small shards of wood by the time she was done with it. Mina wished she had a real human to practice on, but that was a bit difficult to do when everyone else was asleep.
Several hours later, Mina transformed back into her warrior self and headed back to her dormitory. She was quite glad she had gotten the nap that she had, because she knew that if she hadn’t, she definitely wouldn’t have had the energy to practice the way she did.
Back in her room again, she noticed the message about needing to be in the garden at 7:30. Glancing at the clock, Mina saw that it was 5 AM. Her heart leapt with excitement. It wouldn’t be very long until she was on her way with the others.
Mina spent the next two hours reading up on samurai tactics in a book sitting on one of her room mates’ bedside tables. Her sheer excitement kept her awake. At 7 o’clock, she got up, took a shower, got dressed, and fixed her hair. She was ready to go at 7:20. Bursting with energy, she hurried out the door and down to the garden. She arrived there at 7:25.
