But it does live as a solitary individual in much of northern North America, Asia, and parts of Europe.
Wolverines are one of the few animals that will voluntarily select prey that are larger than themselves (think moose), and pound-for-pound are among the strongest verterbrates in the world. They're mostly nocturnal, although they're cabable of running on a cat-like schedule of being "on" for four hours, and "off" again for for, in environments with long periods of brightness or darkness.
Sizewise, they're generally between 70-90 cm in length, and weigh in at 20-23 kg (so, two or three feet long, and 40-50 pounds).
They're capable of running up to 50 kph in a sprint, which is just about as fast as a racehorse. They can climb trees, are good swimmers, and are generally excellent predators.

I have to agree. I can't even tell what is what on this creature. I'm not even quite sure where the gills are.
