How about a Valentine's set? It's coming up in two weeks, so that might be appropriate. Something that says love, without being overly romantic or mushy. (Since Qanda's a guy)

Wed Feb 02, 2005 2:54 am

Like a Royalboy Acara saying, "You know you wanna be my Valentine" xD I stink at subtext.

Okay, I sent in the answers. Hopefully, everything was correct. :)

Just a reminder, there's a little less than 5 hours left in the Reward Challenge. I'm going to post five sets, just in case no more sets are added before time runs out. That way, we'll still have an 'official' number of sets. (Just to be clear, this is only final if no more sets are added. No one really voted on any, this is just to ensure that we're at least in the running. If any new sets do get added, please make a new set of five, which will become the 'official' entry) I'm removing my own, as not to offend anyone. ;)

Qanda enters, holding the results slip for the immunity challenge. "I'm rather busy today, so I'll make this fast. Both tribes submitted the correct solutions, but Hakunamatata submitted their answer first. Therefore, Hakunamatata wins immunity."

Correct solution for your puzzle:

The easiest way (but not the only way) to solve a puzzle like this is to create a grid showing all possible combinations. I'll not go into detail, since Amarise obviously did a good job of that already. :) The answer is:

MONTH OF SLEEPING -DAPHNE - UNI - FAERIE
MONTH OF AWAKENING - GRACE - KOUGRA - PURPLE
MONTH OF RUNNING - KILLER - LENNY - ORANGE
MONTH OF EATING - CUTIE - SHOYRU - GOLD
MONTH OF HUNTING - ARTHUR - CYBUNNY - ISLAND

Voting starts now.

Voting Guidelines

1) PM me individually which two people you wish to vote out.
2) You must include reasons why you voted for these people.
3) The two persons with the most votes for them are voted out. If there is a tie, my randomiser will decide.
4) All votes must come within 24 hours of this post. Anyone who fails to vote will be the one eliminated instead of one of the persons voted by the majority.
5) When voting, please write your tribe name and the people you are voting for in the PM title, so that I can tally the votes more easily. This means that if you are voting for player X and player Y and are from Valentia, you should type in your title: Valentia - Vote X and Y
In the PM, please vote in this format:
Vote: Player X
Reason: ......
Vote: Player Y
reason:......

Votes which deviate greatly from the given format will not be accepted.

BTW, you still have about 2 hours and 20 minutes left for the reward challenge. After that, I'll start judging.

*sigh* This is going to be hard to choose.

Anyway.

Which 5 sets should we include? I'd like to include mine, but I don't know which one to exclude. And I'll only include mine if it's ok with you guys :P

EDIT: I made an executive decision. I'm really sorry if I offend anyone by not including your set!!

Ok, I'll judge the set contests entries now.

Many of the entries were very well-done, and I was seriously spoilt for choice. It was terribly difficult to choose a winner, but -

I've decided to settle on hellyer's Snow Kookith set as the winner of the Reward Challenge.

Hellyer's chose a cute petpet which I liked for his set. The colours combined nicely and I particularly liked the way the Kookith emerged out of the set. I prefer shaped sets over normal square ones. The oval and curvy signature was very appealing too. the one flaw was the subtext, which I did not like too much (it didn't make too much sense to me).

Nevertheless, the other entries were superb too. AutumnElf's and Alex's sets, especially Alex's, were well done, however I was looking for original sets, and when someone changes sets they normally want a different-looking one. :P I also liked Lackadazed's wolf set, which reminded me of werewolf. ;)

If I did not comment on your set, it is because of lack of time, not because it sucked. All entries were much better than what I could produce (yes, including that stick-man one :P).

The winner of the reward challenge is Hakunamatata, earning themselves 5 RP.

whoa....... I thought there was no chance Hakuna beat us..... oh well, we got the answer right, at least. Nice sets, everyone, I'm sure we'll get the next reward challenge. :P

Wed Feb 02, 2005 7:44 pm

Ok, so there's a reason I don't have a normal set. :P And too bad we lost... good job to hakunamatata for figuring out the numbers. :( Meh, it'll be really hard to pick two people this time...

I hate logic problems. I was using the grid method and I came up with a faerie and island uni. Great. Oh, and a colourless shoyru... I submitted a logic problem, but I thought that if the coding was allowed, then we could've been evil and given it to them, thinking it'd be harder than mine. I'll save my logic problem in case we ever need it in a later round.

Wed Feb 02, 2005 8:53 pm

We lost. But we worked together, right? >_< Bah, it's going to be so difficult to pick two people... (Wait, so do we put two people to vote off, or still just one in our PM?)

Wed Feb 02, 2005 10:11 pm

We're always so close, it just the time thats an issue. Ach well, we'll win next time right guys? ;)

(I think we put two people in our PM)

Wed Feb 02, 2005 11:10 pm

I sent my two votes in, it was hard :(

Oh well, we didn't win, But we still did good right? RIGHT! Those are great sets that we made!

Wed Feb 02, 2005 11:37 pm

Oh man...we lost both challenges. :(

I guess I'll vote now...:(
