For those topics one could describe as the forum equivalent of a twinkie. Word games, forum contests and giveaways are all the rage here.

Those are the 5 I think we should submit. That is just my opinion though :P

I agree! I do believe that these are the best ones...

Wed Feb 02, 2005 4:16 am

I agree as well.

Hey guys, I would like to apologise for my lack of participation in this round. Today was the first full day back at school, and afterwards I had soccer practice, so I haven't been on in about in 10 hours. I'm really sorry and I will try and make it up to you in the next round, if I am still here.

I agree with those 5 too. :) Ditty-ditty-DITTO!

Qanda enters, holding the results slip for the immunity challenge. "I'm rather busy today, so I'll make this fast. Both tribes submitted the correct solutions, but Hakunamatata submitted their answer first. Therefore, Hakunamatata wins immunity."

Correct solution for your puzzle:

The numbers are actually in a code, which you have to decode to form a question. The code works like this:

` 1 2 3 4 5
1A B C D E
2 F G H I J
3K L M N O
4P Q R S T
5U V W X Y

The number is found by going from the top, then the side. For instance, J is 52. The letter Z does not occur, although traditionally it's 65 when needed.

By decoding it, you'll get this question:
"Alice's age is three times the age of Alex. In ten years, Alice's age will be six less than twice the age of Alex. How old is Alice?"

This is a simple mathematical question which can be solved using simultaneous equations. The answer is 12.

Voting starts now.

Voting Guidelines

1) PM me individually which person you wish to vote out.
2) You must include reasons why you voted for this person.
3) The person with the most votes for him/her is voted out. If there is a tie, my randomiser will decide.
4) All votes must come within 24 hours of this post. Anyone who fails to vote will be the one eliminated instead of the person voted by the majority. If more than one person forgets to vote, it will again be decided by my randomiser.
5) When voting, please write your tribe name and the person you are voting for in the PM title, so that I can tally the votes more easily. This means that if you are voting for player X and are from Hakunamatata, you should type in your title: Hakunamatata - Vote X
In the PM, please vote in this format:
Vote: Player X
Reason: ......

Votes which deviate greatly from the given format will not be accepted.

BTW, you still have approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes for the reward challenge. After that, I'll start judging.

I'm really sorry, maybe it's because it's late, but i don't understand that .

EDIT: I just realised the word Vote is meant to have an s on the end. Now it makes sense :) .

Oh my goodness I am in shock! We actually won immunity! Good one guys!

By the way, I solved that darn thing in a much more complicated way :x

I think everyone is agreed right? These are our entries for the reward challenge!

Wed Feb 02, 2005 12:50 pm

Ok ok, xjox, I get the hint. I'll judge them now. :P

Many of the entries were very well-done, and I was seriously spoilt for choice. It was terribly difficult to choose a winner, but -

I've decided to settle on hellyer's Snow Kookith set as the winner of the Reward Challenge.

Hellyer's chose a cute petpet which I liked for his set. The colours combined nicely and I particularly liked the way the Kookith emerged out of the set. I prefer shaped sets over normal square ones. The oval and curvy signature was very appealing too. the one flaw was the subtext, which I did not like too much (it didn't make too much sense to me).

The other set which I also fancied from your tribe is jellyoflight's Sun set (no pun intended). Special mention to Twizzler for coming out with a set which reflects the origin of my name. :)

If I did not comment on your set, it is because of lack of time, not because it sucked. All entries were much better than what I could produce .

The winner of the reward challenge is Hakunamatata, earning themselves 5 RP.

Woohoo! Our team rocks! :D

Well done guys, you are the best!

Now who on earth are we going to vote out, everyone has participated in some way for the challenges... Is there anyone who WANTS to be voted out? Would make my life easier..... ah well was worth a try! :P

Wed Feb 02, 2005 1:48 pm

Goodd job everyone! We won the challenge and won reward!

Wed Feb 02, 2005 5:21 pm

:D All that worrying, and we did make it through. Thank goodness. xjox, I hope you grow back all that hair ;)

Anyway, voting...

Wed Feb 02, 2005 5:58 pm

YES! We won both challenges!!! Maybe we can actually do this...

I'm voting right now.
