I can't remember the name of this creature, but it's some sort of fish.

I think that is cute. LOL.

I'm finally back for the summer, although hopefully I'll spend a little more time away from this screen.

Me too! 0___o But at least it's cute. I mean, in some sort of "Hey I'm a balloon fish with strange eyes" kind of way. And is it just me, or do those eyeballs look frightengly human-ish? *hums the Twilight Zone theme*

Probably not the best image (and probably easy for people XD) but he's rolled up in defense (probably didn't like his picture being taken *laughs*).

A bug of largish proportions in comparison to his other friends. Looks rather like a kind of medicine, don't he?

[Ah ha, an obvious clue, Sherlock! *thwapped*]

And this strange-looking baby, 'tis a new one on me...

Snake or not...?

And this, which I think is one gorgeous-coloured moth:

Think these are two different species of birds, right? No, they're both eclectus parrots, which have one of the most striking examples of sexual dimorphism. The one on the left with the yellow-orange beak and green feathers is the male, and the one on the right with the black beak and red-and-blue feathers is the female. People have debated over which one is prettier, but I think it's obvious the female has a better color combination.

Oh of course not it's the female. o.- Females always match their colors much better. It's in their nature. :D

That colorful moth down there even beats my beloved Luna moth. *runs off to give it a hug* I don't care if you like to nibble at my sweaters, you're cute!!!

There has long been debate about that in Australia. I think some prefer to challenge the northern/southern debate on the Red-Collared and Rainbow Lorikeets as well as which of the genders of both species are prettier.

There's not much difference between them, is there? Northern has a duller plumage, whilst Southern has a much brighter plumage, but both are equally as friendly when it comes to hand-feeding them in the wild ;)

And how about these two? Known as the Gang-Gang Cockatoos, which is male and which is female?:

(Personally I prefer the female ;))

But then, the Southern also has those white markings at the top of its head that make it look like the duller-plumaged Northern flew above and took a dump on it.

PWNED.

Do you know what they did with those rare lobsters after they caught them?

I would kinda hope that if it was a 1 in 3 million creature they would give it to an aquarium or something...

The second blue lobster and the albino-normal/male-female one were both donated to museums, I believe. Not sure about the rest.

That HALF albino lobster is crazy. And espically since you say albino lobsters are usually blue.

Actually, albino lobsters are still white. It's simply color agenesis that causes a lobster to be blue - that is, two of its three pigment colors don't form (red, blue, and yellow are the natural pigments of lobsters). It's only when all three don't form that you get white lobsters.

Yet again, the "don't believe everything you see on the internet" myth is proved true. Stupid me. =P

can't find the sig from this set, so instead, you get a <3 .
